Klou 2,414
  It just might happen huh? Without the new rules I would say "yes" for sure, but we'll see how much she sells the first week. I'm assuming she'll need to sell 400K plus, which shouldn't be too hard. Edit: Using Magoo's calculations, I've confirmed she would need to sell around 400K with zero airplay or streaming. Phlop 4,773
These new rules are terrible. It makes it almost impossible for new music to climb. 1. Radio is slow. They only play whats been high on billboard charts. But billboard charts now run on whats high on airplay, which is basically old stuff. 2. Songs climb on iTunes, but it means nothing to the billboard charts, and if they don't make a substantial climb, radio won't play them. Back to problem #1. 3. If the song isnt being played on radio, and isn't high enough on billboard, the general public won't take notice of it and it will remain unpopular. Back to problem #1 and #2. Klou 2,414
She'll definitely have radio deals though I added to my last post, but yeah, she has it in the bag if played correctly. The new rule sucks. It makes the charts very stagnant and it's not a good representation (overall) with what's popular currently.

Starships was still hanging on by a thread on the Top 10, yet everyone had stopped digitally purchasing it by then. lol The public obviously didn't want it anymore yet it was still in the top :smh:
_Lam 597
WTF new Taylor songs sound so much like an Avril Lavigne song. This isn't country anymore and what bothers me is that she'll still won everything in the "country" awards category yet she's doing some **** pop music. Definitely a future smash though. I can feel it.

It's #35 on iTunes, yet still in top 10 on Billboard. No one gives a stink about that song anymore lol.
Bad 32
Agreed about the new chart formula. It's terrible. The fact that Where Have You Been is at #7 but not even in the top 20 of sales or streaming shows just how biased it is. Radio should have the least weight imo. Sales and streaming show what people really like.

Cherry 17
Taylor has a Clear Channel on-the-hour deal in place for her new song. Add that to her monster sales and she is definitely debuting top 2, if not #1.
Ozzy8923 9
Bill Werde â€@bwerde "never ever" an event song RT @silpiet: @bwerde @taylorswift13 song playing top of every hour on 300+ Clear Channel stations in US. Retweeted by billboardbiz It has a radio deal as well. So I agree with Klou, Taylor has digital downloads on lock due to her HUGE fan base and opening week numbers. All she needs now is streaming and #1 is guaranteed.

Klou 2,414
I honestly don't think she even needs the airplay or streaming. All she needs is 400K+ in sales and she already has the #1.

Klou 2,414
Do you think Taylor should release countdown to/promo singles To let the public know the other songs on the album aren't as dreadful as the first? Yes.
