I made a thread about it I disagree when the song first became a single I only heard positive things about. And clearly the GP liked it because like I said earlier it did go #1 on pop radio. Schizophonic 7,015 Posted March 3, 2018 Share Posted March 3, 2018 i think it was the better choice to start in "round two" with a single as a standalone artist and not with the help of beyonce. it was important for her at that time to be known for great music herself and not just with help of a bigger (at least at that time)superstar. plus the video back to back with paparazzi would have hit the same "style" two times in a row what might have calmed her "expect the unexpected" mysterious image a bit.
