I don’t. People need to stop making thread titles assuming the whole fan base does :selena:

It wasn't my favourite era but it wasn't bad either. I have no major complaints other than the first 2 music videos being very full :madge:

Music wise it would probably be my third favorite Gaga Album after TFM and BTW

The main reason I don't like the album is because of her vocals. They sound like her "dope" vocals. Also, this is a pop album and her vocal style (I think it's called vibrato, but not too sure) doesn't suit the genre. Her voice has also become a lot deeper, which may be natural due to her aging, but I still don't like it. I wish she would have polished her voice a bit, not autotune, but polished so they would sound closer to BTW vocals. IMO, ARTPOP vocals were way overproduced, but her voice here wasn't polished enough. I also don't like the genre of music she chose. I love her for her electro-pop style music, but I'm open to her trying out other genres. The music videos are also pretty bad, but that's not so important to me.

The only bad part about it was the PI era. By the time she started promoting the album as a whole (SNL, VSFS) it got way better. By the time the SB and Coachella happened I was in love with the era. The tour made that even better. It was truly a great era.

That's literally autotune...

I just don't like the lack of promo it had

This! Too!

If Gaga couldn't handle the work load for health reasons (understandable) I don't think pushing back the tour a smidge say like a few weeks to give her the time and space to promote a little more would be a bad trade off

But we also don't know details between her and her label

Labels don't usually promote established artists that already have a dedicated fan base anyway as much as new ones they are trying to break into the scene...

To some extent it could be her management too u never know!

I dont but I dislike the Music Videos. And fashion too, mostly pre-Superbowl though. PI era was a MESS for me, not feeling her looks

Although it was a lovely song, the seemingly endless Million Reasons era killed most of my hype after the super bowl. Further, I feel like Joanne had mainly good songs, but was missing the distinct personality that made all of her other releases (including Cheek To Cheek) so noteworthy and memorable. Don't drag me to hell, sisters, but Joanne was an album that anyone could have put out. I still love it for what it's worth. It's better than having no new Gaga releases, for sure.

I don't.

Other than some boring looks and a pretty abysmal MV (which I'm warming up to), it was a fairly concise and well-done era. Her vocals, musicianship, and enthusiasm were better than ever.

3 points in and ready for more

Edge Of Venus

1. Underwhelming melodies. Gaga used to be the queen of choruses but this album lacks that melodic punch that Gaga is capable of writing.

2. Questionable productions on certain songs. The intended raw and retro sound direction sometimes comes off very muddy and dated.

3. Unpleasant vocals. She oversang and ruined some of the songs, the worst offender being the chorus of Million Reasons.

4. The so-called "dead aunt" concept has nothing to do with the actual content of the album except the title track.
