YouTube & VEVO channels to merge into 1 official account

No major change for Gaga, but that's good because if ASIB soundtrack is under Warner, it will be on the major channel, and that means she's probably already at 10M subcribers   

This is good for artists that have their videos split into 2 channels (their personal one & the VEVO one)

Tbh they should have done this for a while, it will be easy to find artists' music

For Gaga for example, I think that LadyGagaVEVO will be named 'Lady Gaga' and that all the videos & subcribers from the 2 channels (currently Lady Gaga & LadyGagaVEVO) will be under that one

im kinda unsure, i like having a queen's music, "behind the scenes" kind of stuff on one channel and videos from her on another one, it might be messy once they merge both together

I think it will be better and easier to have all the things under one official account, just like Spotify

They should also give back her views pre-VEVO, Katy got her views added few years back and moved to her VEVO channel years before this happened, oh well, one could only dream for Katys managament, I hope this benefits Gaga no less.

and while they're at it they need to

Merge the views for all three paparazzi videos and only keep the explicit version up (it's 2018, that video is no longer explicit compared to **** today) so it'll have 259M views

Same with telephone, keep the explicit one up and merge them so it has 363M views

G.U.Y. only version can die, They should keep the Film up and it'll have 139M views

So, it's just subscribers that will be transferred and merged, not videos and video views? For example, Lana has 2 versions of Summertime Sadness - the one on her personal channel, which has over 281 million views (her second highest viewed video) and a version on her Vevo channel, which has 107 million views. Will both videos now be on her official channel, or will the channels remain separate, with their videos intact? Honestly, I think she deserves her views (and likes) to be merged. It's the exact same video, so why not? The merged version would give a true depiction of how popular the song is. Also, Madonna has almost all her music videos pre-2012 on Warner Music Group, plus having her channel entitled "madonna" and also "madonnaVEVO." She's one of these complicated cases whose work is spread across three official channels. Would merging mean that any 100 million+ videos she has from Warner now be transferred to madonnaVEVO, thus giving her more views? Again, someone of her legendary status deserves to have more than one Vevo certified video and her older work is gaining more views than ever but because they're on Warner, they'll never be counted. It's disgraceful how older acts like this have missed out on the milestones that the young are reaching because their management kept their work on a channel that wasn't theirs.

But I'm assuming it all ultimately just refers to subscribers, nothing else, which sucks. Only thing is, if some of the same people have subscribed to both Vevo and personal channels, will those double subs not count? Because this announcement now means that everyone's fans are going to quickly sub to personal channels before the new rule comes into effect so their fave can be blessed with millions more subs instantly! This is getting complicated. It's making my brain hurt.

What I'd do for the Paparazzi and Telephone explicit versions to be merged with the clean versions so Gaga could have higher views. What I'd give for the likes to be transferred over while they're at it. And if she has any pre-Vevo views, please give her them.
