There has been absolutely no Gaga charting news other than "Marry the Night"'s Gold certification. I assumed this thread was for all US Chart discussion which would make sense since it would pertain to Gaga's as well (e.g. "Peacock" vs. "Marry the Night" vs. "Birthday Cake" going gold).

Meltdowns aren't part of that, and to be quite frank, no one gives two ****s about how Katy Perry did versus Lady Gaga during the BTW era.

It's been discussed numerous times to the point it's an exhausted topic, and only fuels negativity between members that are fans of different acts.

Americano, I am sorry, but get over it. Those are my type of posts, and if they are too overdramatic for you, then ignore them because I am not breaking any rules. I am just expressing how I feel. "Wide Awake" is charting, thus Katy chart talk is relevant. If you lock the thread, I'll open a new one since you've gotten nothing but complaints as this thread's OP from being a wannabe dictator, having meltdowns and locking this thread helter-skelter and choosing not to post all Gaga singles information in the first post ("Marry the Night") for the longest time even after numerous requests to do so.

I didn't know everything here had to be intellectual. And "so much flop" is constructive. It is indicating users that things are not going well. This is for opinions on the charts as well.

The mods are always on the look out because this thread is constantly off topic, and constantly bashing other artists. Sara asked me to try to keep it on topic, so that's what I'm doing.

This thread is technically for LADY GAGA CHARTING ONLY, so the fact banter about other acts is even going on is thanks to flexibility from moderators.

This thread hasn't been locked at all due to my actions, seeing it's not even an option for thread starters on the new boards. It has been locked from the admin wishing to keep page counts low for the server.

"Wide Awake" charting does not equal a slam fest on Katy for 3 pages.

This thread will ALWAYS veer to other artists charting in-between Gaga eras. Because until Gaga's next single, there's nothing to talk about.

So rather than a mod having to come in and say the same thing every 3 pages, we should open a separate US Charts thread in the Music section. That keeps it easy, one thread for Gaga, one for general charts talk.

The issue is that a lot of the discussion isn't friendly talk about which artist is doing what, and what it means for Lady Gaga in terms of her standing in the industry.

Instead it's framed as a vicious competition, leading users to rip apart other acts for no reason. That was never the purpose of this thread.

You can bring up other artists and talk about their numbers, but not with the intent of saying someone is a "flop" and then sidetracking for pages.

MTE! I'm guilty of this myself and I try now to focus solely on chart performance, and not express my opinion about the song/artist.

If you open another thread, it's going to end up talking about Lady Gaga anyway when she has new music out on the charts.

That means two threads for essentially the same thing.

Talking about other artists isn't against the rules, but slamming them for somehow edging out Gaga is becoming too harsh and rather unnecessary. GagaDaily isn't going to be another Exhale with negativity.

Besides, Lady Gaga is on her break currently and this is when we should all be chilling out and just enjoying the music. No pressure. Take a vacation from that stress with Gaga.
