Egypt Bans Support For LGBT Community In The Media

Since I'm Egyptian I'd like to point out what happened exactly.

Mashroua'A Laila a Lebanese band whose lead singer is openly gay was one of 3 performing bands.

Out of all this crowd there were about 3K gay people on there and when a dude called Ahmed raised the pride LGBT flag everybody cheered and supported aside from the media who raged . Why ? Because like most of the world younger people and teens of new generations are supportive and open minded while elders protest. Egypt is not homophobic nor that supportive tbh But after this incidnet all the Arabian countries like Saudi Arabia , Kuwait etc had this on the news as something very shamful and destroying for the precious culture x(  if we the media and government didn't protest against it all Arabian countires will boycott us ( and we need their aid and money tbh ) just like they boycott Lebanon for having gay/trans clubs and bars and support the LGBT. 

So what I wanna say as an Egyptian I support entirely every aspect of the LGBT as some of my friends do . Others I know see it as something shameful or a disease. Elders ofc are so against it ( unless they are gay ofc) most younger people support for example the huge number of fans about 60K supporting an openly gay artist. As country no we can't say we support it or Islamic people and countries will destroy us and boycott us.

Sisi by no mean is a dictator unless you're a Ikhwan brotherhood terrorist. This man did so much more than you can imagine from fighting Isis to isolate the terrorist Morsi and still do much more for the people. You know nothing don't talk.

i'm arabian too , and what u r saying is wrong ,

1 -none of the arabian countries boycotted Lebanon as u r saying  

2 - the egyptian media and lot of egyptians on youtube and social media made a big deal out of it  ( they started it ) , youtube is full of videos of people insulting gays , they were not afraid of the boycott of the other arabian states , we all know the egyptian media , they feed up on this kind of news , they make big deals out of anything :p 

3 - all the arabian countries are homophobic , even lebanon  it's the arabian mentality ( it's shameful to be gay ) , most of the arabian people r hypocrits , they judge people , and think that they r flawless 

4 - gays exists in the arab world but gay rights will never happen ,  due to the cultural background

It's funny how every homophobic names homosexuality a "shameful disease" when homosexuality is found in hundreds of species...homophobia is only found in humans  

I'm not surprised, Egypt is a pretty homophobic place they can't tolerate it, its actually funny how there were confirmed signs of homosexuality in Egypt back in ancient times from the drawings they made...they had like 10-men orgys. Follow your ancestors fattys!

I was just pointing out his refusal to accept satire. I wasn't expressing my opinions on his policy. I frankly don't know much about Morsi besides that he wasn't the biggest fan of free speech.

The self proclaimed “only democracy in ME” and Western democracies bragging about their freedoms and progressiveness, condemning countries with bad human rights record WHILE being great allies with those regimes at the same time.  Selling guns to countries committing ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity... no hypocrisy there.

 

Gaza is open air prison, Palestinians are under military occupation; not comparable. In fact, Egyptian regime is aiding in their oppression.

The US literally condemns countries all of the time about their “horrific treatments” of others and yet allies itself with some of the worst offenders in the region. It’s ironic is all.

And? It doesn’t change the irony of any situation. If I were of any another nationality and my country was allied with nations that support that kind of behavior, while preaching the message of freedom for all, I’d still drag the country’s politics. It’s still sad and embarrassing.
