Miley 5,006
Yeah but that doesn't equate to "Sold Out Arenas". Most of the GP is repelled by her, and her fans alone can not fill up arenas and stadiums. I think if the venues for her tour are like smaller, just like Selena's, then she'll sell out easily. Even Katy Perry cannot sell out big arenas or stadiums around the world. Plus Mileys fanbase is not massive, like Taylor Swift or Rihanna or Gaga for example. So I have my doubts, but I can be wrong. You are wrong though.. Overall she's a bigger tour force than Katy/Beyonce. In South America she's even bigger than Gaga. So she'll do fine, no shade, just being honest. I respect your opinion, but Miley will NEVER come close to Beyonce musically, in critical acclaim, touring wise or in overall success. You have to remember though, the last time she toured was when she was still in that "Hannah Montana mode" and she had a massive following, now she has turned a lot of those fans against her. And she is not "HOT" in a way that everyone is impressed by her, ppl are turned off by her. Your fans alone cannot help you sell tickets. You have to have overall public liking towards you. Again, even though Miley is talented and has a great voice and is controversial, I don't see her selling out BIG venues, I just don't. Now if she tours in smaller venues, then yes. I see Miley as the "flavor of the season", the media will move onto the next thing in a few months. Even after all the buzz and hype, her album isn't doing well. It did not have an impressive opening. I personally believe, Katy is bigger than Miley. Miley has a lot to prove, she has to keep up this hype and chart success for upcoming albums as well, before she can be considered a big name in the industry. You are wrong though.. Katy Perry's California Dreams Tour grossed $51m with 124 dates Beyonce's I Am... World Tour grossed $119.5m with 108 dates Miley Cyrus tour grossed $67m with 56 dates. And to mention, she only toured North America & UK. I honestly respect your "opinion" but you can't prove your opinion less you don't have facts/statics. It's like me saying "I respect your opinion that the sky is blue, but I say it's yellow. Based on what? Your statement is invalid. Although YOU might think Katy/Beyonce are bigger tour forces, yet again, statics proves you wrong. On her latest tour, to promote her album she grossed $33m with ONLY 21 dates. I have been a fan since back in 2008, and to you who maybe recently discovered Miley outside Hannah Montana she might be the "new thing" but clearly she's not. She had the most followers on YouTube at one time, was one of the most followed persons on twitter - and her videos were the most watched videos on YouTube too (like now). She has sold 25m albums, so she's in the game for sure. Don't underestimate her power. Edited November 12, 2013 by Miley

Hannah Montana, a fictional character created by Disney. Bring the facts & figures for Miley Cyrus, than we will talk. Miley herself stated that, Hannah Montana is dead, she doesn't even acknowledge the music she made during that time. So all those "accomplishments" are invalid and not hers, but of a character called Hannah Montana. You wanna see the power of Miley Cyrus? Check Bangerz 1st week sales, after being the most talked about celebrity, being all over the media, having the hype & buzz but still under performing. Even Katy Perry outsold her. Now as for BEYONCE, lol I'm not even gonna start....there is absolutely no comparison between a 17x grammy winner and a newcomer. But if you must insist, I will give you this...... No album, No promo, No hype, back after having a baby....................and a SOLD OUT WORLD TOUR, which is breaking records. And as for Miley, I have already stated it above. Facts are staring us right in the face.

I never said a WORD about sales/figures. ONLY STATICS that proves her tour power. Are you kidding me? We are NOT DISCUSSING her power as an artist, we were discussing her tour power. I really don't know why you mix things up like that. It's emberassing honestly

It's emberassing honestly Ehmmm....why are you using Hannah Montana as a backing when your own fave doesn't acknowledge her? Like I mentioned in my previous post, back when she was HANNA MONTANA, the GP liked her. Lil girls were obsessed with her. So they bought the tickets and her stuff. Now? Not so much. As it is clearly evident from her album debut & sales. Miley Cyrus was introduced to the world as Hannah Montana, not as herself. Now the world is seeing the real Miley Cyrus....and now we'll see how she'll do in the long run. And now we'll see her "power" in touring and in general. And I repeat, things are not looking too good for her, as is evident from Bangerz selling power. Edited November 12, 2013 by Smooth Criminal

gagaisitalian 3,573
The facts & figures that you are stating are for "HANNAH MONTANA" not Miley Cyrus. Hannah Montana, a fictional character created by Disney. Bring the facts & figures for Miley Cyrus, than we will talk. Incorrect. The tour itself was promoting Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus. In fact, the tour was advertised as "Best of Both Worlds Tour featuring Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus." Fans who watched the show KNEW Hannah was Miley...it's what the show was about. So they knew they were going to see a show performed all by Miley Cyrus. Why are you even in this thread just to spread hatred? Get out and let the Miley fans on this forum be excited for the tour. Also, don't forget the "Wonder World Tour", which you obviously have. It was the second world tour by Miley (not featuring Hannah Montana). The tour only reached 56 cities and gained 67 million. Now let's compare that to Beyonce's "I Am...World Tour". This tour reached 108 cities and gained 119 million. Seeing as how the dates are nearly doubled, let's go ahead and multiply Miley's 67 million by 2...and what does that give us? Oh, 134 million. So your opinion about Miley going to struggle to sell tickets for the Bangerz Tour is laughably wrong. You need to realize that all those 12/13/14 year old girls that saw her as Hannah, are now nearing their adulthood. They are really interested in every thing Miley is doing, because they themselves are going through a time of change. Everyone at my university likes Miley. I don't know how old you are, but maybe she doesn't pertain to your demographic, but she does to mine. Also, the $995 VIP package was sold out for Houston minutes after going on sale this morning. If people are willing to pay $995, there will be thousands of others ready to buy regular seats for only $90 and less. Not to mention, people are already buying scalped tickets for hundreds more than list price. Miley is still a big deal, with a blonde Hannah wig or not. ---- On a good note, I just got my Bangerz Ballroom package for Houston! Row 8, Seat 4 (which is only 4 seats from the catwalk!) Update: The VIP packages for Houston have sold out until they add more on Saturday. Edited November 12, 2013 by Gazing Ball
