craig 680
S&S gets taken of A-list radio & it plummets. I had no idea radio had that much impact in the UK. it had 8 weeks in top 3. My impression is UK radio tends to pick up hits faster, but not play the crap out of them for months as much as the US.

Dangerous Man 9,245
I cant believe WIWYM is now at the top 5 of itunes. Truly amazing, "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body."
StrawberryBlond 14,267
You already know what I'm going to say on the Rihanna situation, right? Is radio playing a really big part these days or is it heavy amounts of downloads? Because she's not done any UK promo for the song since X Factor. I mean, she did the Grammys, but that's not enough to give it a considerable rise after all this time and the video is out, but again, after charting in the top five consecutively for 2 months, would a video even give it that big of a rise? Yup, I've found that no matter how long a song has been hovering around the top 20, as soon as the video is released, it'll always benefit from a video effect. Rihanna's huge so the video is gonna be playing eveeeerywhere at the minute, hence why it's back inside the top 3 on itunes In other news, Taylor Swift has plummeted with Trouble after the debacle at the Grammys. It hovered between #3-#8 for the LONGEST time. Now it's more or less out of the top 15.

Harry 26,836
The Suit and Tie video seems to have pushed it just outside the top 10 again on iTunes... Hopefully his BRITs performance steals the show like at the Grammys and he benefits most instead of Taylor. But... I can see her performance having detrimental effects
StrawberryBlond 14,267
If Taylor wins that award, the BRITS will officially be a joke, not just a speculation anymore. Considering that Taylor hasn't made a splash in the UK until now (and only because she sold out and she still hasn't had a #1 single here), it would be pretty stupid to give her this, especially as her album was only released in October anyway. It seems to be really slim pickings for the award this year. Rihanna can't win it, not for the third year in a row. Cat Power doesn't stand a chance, as indie artists never do. Alicia's chances are slim to none. Lana has to win this. Rihanna and even Taylor will have the chance to win again later in their careers. Lana most likely won't. The UK was the kindest country in the world to Lana, giving her the most sales, chart positions and sold out tour dates. This award really would be the icing on the cake for her (and will hopefully encourage her to have lots more dates here with her next album!)
Jase 13,065
Rach, Taylor is winning. I call it awards show politics. ****ing frustrating and wrong, but it's what happens.
