If what Troy implied and "insiders" say is true it looks like Gaga is making unique yet radio friendly music (similar to TFM) so it looks like this era will probably have good public and Top 40 Radio perception

You live and die by Top 40 Radio. Very very true words.

Do you guys think Gaga will stick with Interscope after 3 more albums or join another label or create her own?

(All of the above info about Troy and Gaga's contract with Interscope is in Americano's thread from today, if you didnt read it)

And yes. She loves them. They picked her up when she was going through a hard time after Def Jam. I think she is eternally grateful because of that

You must be young then, because she was huge in the early 2000's.

:legend:

Yeah, I'm 14 :ohwell:

Your right. She may be like Madonna and stay with the same label for YEARS

I wouldnt be surprised if she leaves to create her own label though. She hates being told what to do, even though 95% of the time its the better decision.

I'd never heard of Missy until I saw that she was one of the many tacked on rappers to Katy Perry's singles :dies:

She was very popular in early 2000's along with Timbaland. She was the rap queen back then, and she produced Lady Marmalade (P!nk, Christina, Lil Kim and Mya's version).

Yeah. But they give her freedom. They let her pick Alejandro, Born This Way, and Judas to be singles in the order that she wanted them to be in and most artists get no say in what singles they want from the album.

Do we know why Madonna left Warner?

Thank you!! And, I read today that Gaga's new single will sound nothing like anything we've heard from her before, which leads me to believe it could be slowed down a bit as opposed to a big dance hit.

Or a dance song that's less loud, noisy, and abrasive than usual from her.

But I guess they're missing out on the tour money

I agree with you guys, but at some point I would like something a bit slower. I mean a lot of my friends love speechless more than any other Gaga song. As for the dance single, I'd like something like "Hair" without the over-production

Actually I'm pretty sure there is another company that gets the main proceeds from the tours. Is it Live Nation for Madge too?

And my favorite Gaga song. :) I'm a sucker for the slow stuff, but love the hard-hitting beat as much as anyone.
