Because both movie and pop audiences prefer material that doesn't require paying attention or thought.  Superhero movies are the "bops" of films.

ASIB has a history. People would watch it just to see if Gaga fills Streisand's shoes.

I miss her penchant for the video medium, too. I mean, it's not like she can't serve visuals (hence a lot of her performances this era)- rather, I think she just decided to keep it simple, and give us something like John Wayne for funnies, or something.

Maybe one day it'll come back. But sometimes I wonder if she's over the high art concepts of everything. Not that that's necessarily a bad thing... I just miss it.

Yes its really sad. She doesnt care about them anymore. I wish she could go back to her BTW era, she was SO focused on doing great visuals.

I honestly don't even care about TC's music video.

 

What I'm concerned with is how Gaga lacks a charm used to have. I can't explain it, but it's gone. 

 

I'm not complaining. I'm making an observation that seems to have me a bit worried.

 

As good as JOANNE is, it feels like it was rushed together/all over the place and not at all what she original came up with. JOANNE was a beautiful record but this entire era lacked structure and max effort.

 

She abandoned the album mid-era to pursue an acting career and for some reason, her lack of communication and openness with her fans seems to have declined drastically in the past few years. 

 

I can't be the only one who's noticed something ENTIRELY off. 

 

Throughout her 20's, she was one of the most impulsive pop stars to date, and now that she's getting older and kind of a bit wiser, that impulsiveness is starting to fade dramatically. Her performances (when she's actually performing things) lately seem to be all over the place and she seems almost tired. 

 

If anything, I'd rather her go on hiatus than to continue to juggle bottles. I'm not stupefied by this kind of Gaga. I don't even think it's Gaga, anymore. It's Stefani following various forms of her dreams and shedding a cocoon of some sort. Not sure how many of us there'll be left by the time she's done, but she needs to take a break.

I do get the impression she thinks it is important to work hard. Sometimes it is better not to work. it can be like a drug to take your mind off other things. you can just do work that might not be right whereas taking a break can give you the time to develop and  then do work that is right. in permaculture they say like more thinking less work (like to be most efficient) and in finland they reduced the school day and got rid of many exams and home work and the kids do much better. it made me think about just living like the green party is promoting a 4 day week in the UK and about freedom of movement and freedom to live. I do have this work addiction I think and it can be ok coz it feels alright but at some point I know I am going to be making some changes. just sort of getting ready.

Why to bother with videos when in any case a JB or the seasonal spanish song video will overshadow the Gaga's video?
