Buddy 5,686 Posted May 8, 2017 Share Posted May 8, 2017 I think Gaga will either try to appease to the annoying pure pop fans and make a bunch of The Cure's or she's going to go a more rock alternative route. The indie rock scene is slowly becoming mainstream and she NEEDS to get into because she could completely bring that sort of music to the forefront. She worked with Beck, Father John Misty, and Kevin Parker which were the right people but I'm a bit disappointed she kept it polished and chose to make her vocals the defining factor of Joanne What I WANT is for Gaga to do is psychedelic 80s synth pop rock. I like Perfect Illusion but I'm so pissed she chose to scream over it and not let the production value speak. Gaga needs to work with Kevin and chill in the vocal department, sing more genuinely and dream-like and let it compliment the psychedelic vintage synth production. She can't rage without screaming. It's what makes her songs more powerful and raw and furthers her from the pop production she has done in the past.
