That's lovely... Can Ellen call up Gaga and get me tickets, as well? :lolly:

I'm glad that Gaga and Ellen seem to be cool.

But I wish Gaga wasn't associated with this 13 Reasons Why show. It does not talk about suicide in a helpful way imo.

And as Ellen said she called Gaga so y'all can calm down they're on good terms :nails:

I really like the idea of Ellen calling gaga like "Heyy girl hit me up with some tickets for Katherine"

But it probably isn't that way at all, but the communication probably took place between Ellen's and Gaga's management. sorry to be a party pooper. :chica:

Spoiler

also what's the whole deal with them having a feud... just cause gaga didn't attend Ellen's show for the release of Joanne or am I missing something?

They did the whole #lovein3words thing sooooo... they're definitely on good terms.

Spoiler

it was a nice try to spread love in the world but tbh it's a flop oh well:neyde:

The whole show highlight how dangerous and threatening bullying can be. That's the core of BTW Foundation.

If you want to highlight how dangerous and threatening bullying can be - do it, but do it responsibly. Talk about it in effective constructive ways. Don't watch some show to fantasize over it.

To me, the show glamorizes pain and suicide.  There are no themes of hope, no themes of seeking change,  no professionalism... It sends all the wrong messages to people who do struggle with those thoughts.  It sends the message 'give up and you win'...

Bullies are bullies. There will always be shitty people in the world, killing yourself and sending your bullies tapes does not 'hurt' them...  it does not 'get back' at them...

What gets back at them is being successful and ignoring them. Seeking change.

I might be a bit behind but why wouldn't Ellen and Gaga be on good terms?

You probably didn't understand what the show is all about.

Many times when I was watching the show I wondered : am I being mean to someone that way? Have I ever hurt someone when I wasn't aiming for it? Can I be a better person? Would I notice if one of my friends was thinking of ending his/her life?

I don't see how this show promotes suicide. It's the anti-suicide. It's explaining you step by step how you could break the chain of events leading to someone taking his lire away.

Suicide is really complicated.

Saying this show is a step-by-step for other people on how to avoid it/see it in others is ignorance. Sorry.

Do you really think bullies are the ones watching this show?

Bullies are bullies because they don't care. Because they don't self reflect. They have insecurities they project on others. Probably shitty rolemodels at home too. Watching this show (they don't) won't change them. Usually only time and maturity can fix them, and even that is not guaranteed.

The bullying that occurs on 13 Reasons Why is pretty next level, so personally I didn't learn much.

Anyways a lot of the people who do watch the show are the victims of bullying, who need to be lifted up - not to watch somebody else hit rock bottom... That is my position.
