Of course not, but Presidents are supposed to get permission from Congress in that case.

It's not a reason, unless the President didn't get the approval of Congress. Syria is a nation, not a terrorist group...therefore the US has set up different expectations and guidelines for the two.

In the context of things, those reasons that you've stated are so minuscule to me. Syria is a nation.. I don't view Assad as a Government though. I view it as a terrorist group. I'm sure any court of law would agree with me given the definition of the term. I think the US had grounds to strike the weapons base without Trump seeking permission from Congress.

The US didn't take out a base. They took out a few planes that were left for repair and used for parts. It was a show, not an attack that stopped planes from taking off. In fact, they were taking off today and Assad has been bombing citizens today.

My comment that you replied to stated that I was referring to a war situation, not a one off strike. Well yeah, it's a **** situation. Either way is disastrous. That's why no one knows what to do.

Regardless of what was taken out, the US has made it's stance rather clear as has its' allies as a result of this strike. I think it was an act to test the waters / to set up future actions.

Assad is the leader of a sovereign nation. To strike a sovereign nations military base, there are procedures. That's the difference between sticking ISIS and Syria.

Yes, I know that you believe that Trump had grounds to go against the Constitution. He didn't, but I can't see the GOP caring one bit. They will allow him to do anything, right or wrong, constitutional or not.

I certainly hope not. That's the last thing anyone needs, for the US to wage war in Syria.

The US gave a weak charade of an attack. It was a one off for show.

I doubt it'll be a one-off attack for show.

Trust me, that is what will happen and then if that doesn't work, I'm going to prison. There is no way whatsoever that Donald Duck is sending me anywhere.
