What I loved about Fame was the visuals (bottle, commercial, ads etc.) and the hyped-up launch, not the actual fragrance although I had some fun confusing straight male friends with it (You can't go around smelling that! I don't know how to react!) I doubt she's that into perfume, really. Before Fame I heard she wore Muglers Womanity, but I suspect it was because of Muglers connections to Nicola at the time. And Womanity was pretty vile with a salty 'caviar' note that few people liked. If she still is under contract with Coty she might be forced to release something, but I doubt it would be as heavily promoted as Fame was. Eau de Gaga didn't really go anywhere even though it was well received with the perfumistas/perfume bloggers. also she mentioned in an interveiw that she hated selling purfumes and that she didn't like her own perfume brand. YaaaasGaga 6,119
Unpopular opinion maybe but... I hated the Eau De Gaga era. Fame was so legendary and was so 'on brand' that it just worked, whereas EDG was just a mess, especially the visuals. Yeah she looked good, but memorable? Hardly. The music didn't match the look or aesthetic with the half naked men around, the 'fashion film' is merely just close ups of Gaga looking bored and tired (since she doesn't like releasing perfumes as we all know), plus that random boxing scene with the jazz music is like "what?". Then the bottle and packaging literally looked so cheap, it looked like a Hugo Boss rip-off. With Fame, there was so much of a concept there and it was exciting and groundbreaking (HELLO - the first black perfume that turns clear, plus that legendary bottle) so to go to something as uninspiring as EDG was just a misstep. It's clear she was being mismanaged at this point and she should've just left it at Fame for a while.
Princess Stache 2,066
No, Gaga hated making and promoting her perfumes. It was just another attention grabber from Interscope.

In fact, I was wearing it in an elevator last week, and a guy looked around and eventually asked, "Who's wearing the really nice cologne?"

Wear it to the Joanne tour so I can smell you oddly💀💀
Ashley 9,454
No because she's not passionate about it. I was actually cleaning out my room the other day and threw out my old bottle of Fame even though it was half full. It just gave me a weird feeling like it was a reminder of Gaga's unhappiness while promoting it.
