I remember Gaga saying that American Horror Story inspired her to write some music.  It seems like most of Joanne doesn't have anything to do with it.

In season 6 Gaga plays a sort of tribal witch that really likes sex.

Dancin in Circles has a tribal feel to it. And tribal witches dance around fires. It works with the whole, "in the fire I call your name out" part of the song.

Sooo was DIC inspired by AHS season 6?

It makes sense, but she meant Hotel inspired the RedOne songs on album 5 that wasn't Joanne yet.

It seems unlikely since it was originally "Driving in Circles" and was more of a sad cherry pop than the celebretory cha cha party of the final version

I doubt it would have the same "tribal" (tropical-esque) production had she gone with the lonelier version

Well the chorus did remind me of scathachs deep, echo-y voice but I doubt the song was meant to be inspired by AHS. Maybe they started filming around the same time as the recording and that's why it sounds so tribal-ish

That's not very born this way of you
