I know that breath control is definitely an issue for her, I've seen in it more than one performance, but she actually does have some performances where it's not that bad like it was with this performance

I am sorry but this is NO excuse.

I am fed up of Katy stans going "oh, but she is dancing/moving!" Em, she is out of breath at the first lyric and she is just standing there shaking her hips  She is nearly 10 years into her career, she needs to have vocal and breathing training.

And a month is plenty of time to rehearse and catch up on energy especially for only two performances.

I have to agree...her vocals and the "lack of energy" are very obvious

She wasn't doing much but walking in a hamster wheel...then walking around the stage...and that's it

I can't believe she OPENED the show...that was a bad move.

sigh. Yes it was quite bad. She really needs to learn/focus on breathing technique or something because CTTR is not even vocally complex but she's out of breath like 15 seconds in. 

It's embarrassing really. Also I can't take this "political" song seriously if there is a kawaii hamster plopping about on stage...

Not one decent performance yet. This is a disaster. Whose idea was it to put her on a treadmill? Were they a secret hater who wanted to see her fail? Look, Ariana couldn't even serve a decent vocal when she performed on an exercise bike at the MTV awards. If Ariana couldn't pull that off, what makes anyone think Katy could do a half decent job while on exercise equipment either. Or basically do anything other than just stand and sing? The SB was maybe the only high energy performance I've ever seen from her that had decent vocals but then, she might have had heavy playback. But it's well know that when Katy tries to focus any part of her attention on anything other than singing, her vocals suffer badly for it. It's getting to the point where I doubt she can walk and chew gum at the same time.

More fool anyone who actually pays to see her on tour after this. I saw clips from her Prismatic tour and it was awful. Clearly, she's not made any improvement 3 years later. She's had a long enough break between albums to get better. There's no excuse anymore.
