Regardless, these "upcoming rappers" who deserve recognition don't seem to be the ones who aren't running rap either, shown by the fact that we have women backed up by a camp of songwriters desperately trying to start a trend to get people talking. I didn't say all, I explicitly said 90% and I also didn't say her music sounds the same, but rather her flow in 90% of her songs. Talent and attitude are two separate entities, that is true. They aren't dependent on one another and there are numerous historical examples where people could be exceptionally talented and yet be terrible people at the same time. However, hip hop is built upon the concept of authenticity. Her art is based on personal experiences which then influence her music directly, unlike other genres of music where that aspect is different.
