Texas State University police confirmed they are investigating reports of threatening fliers posted on campus by alleged supporters of president-elect Donald Trump.

Police declined to give further information until Thursday, but a Texas State student and a Texas State employee said several of the fliers have been found around campus.

"Now that our man Trump is elected and Republicans own both the Senate and the House -- time to organize tar & feather vigilante squads and go arrest and torture those deviant university leaders spouting off all this diversity garbage," at least one of the fliers reads, according to a photo that the university community is sharing.

Disgusting!

We need to unite in love. It's so sad how people live in hate.

Horrifying.

A fascinating Twitter thread related to this phenomena:

There's nothing harder for people to do than admit they were fooled.

THIS IS SO ****ING TRUE.

Not to rant but about two weeks ago I joined a guild ( A group in online games that play together) and they are straight, white, republicans who are unaware that I am a gay, black, liberal and if you guys only heard half of what they say you would want to tear off your ears. This is real, please do not let anyone tell you that people are just "trolling" or being "edgy" (although some are) there is a hate towards progressive ideas in America and it is coming to light now.

IDGAF if you call me a conspiracist or crazy. I am not looking too deep into things. I'm seeing them and currently experiencing them as they are.

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. - Audre Lorde
