I think the only dance songs that have been on the top ten of the Hot 100 this year are Starships and Glad you came. I'm getting nervous for Gaga, especially when it's rumored that she's working with Zedd.

The only we thing we know for sure won't flop is the 1st single!

Hoping Gagaloo releases a 2nd single before the album too.

But 2nd singles don't always smash when they're released before an album...

But, on the other hand, if dance music dies, then Gaga is going to explore new music directions. I would love to hear something like TEOG, techno production + real instrument.

Gaga's music is miles away from what is flooding radio nowadays. At the end, she goes more for pop with a fusion of other rhythms, barely night club hits. If you listen carefully, radio is full of the same kind of tunes, beats and messy breakdowns. Gaga has something different to that, but is still mainstream pop.

TTWE and Circus were released before each album and they smashed. At least Circus is Britney's 2nd best selling digital track and TTWE is her 3rd. :awesome:

Yes, so there's a chance for Gaga definitely to smash with a 2nd single

I don't think Dance pop is completely dead. It's just that it all sounds the same at the moment, so it's easy for songs like We Are Young to stand out. Gaga just has to make something different, like TEOG or Bad Romance were.

I doubt many of these current indie acts will make it past One Hit Wonder status anyways.

Of course.

I Agree. Very talented acts but they will not see another hit on their repertoire again.

Bright green update for 'WHYB'!

Everything else around it is dark green too. KWORB has been unreliable recently... Wonder what's been going on with all these bugs on the site.

22. Where Have You Been - Rihanna

May 6, 2012 2:37 PM

Where Have You Been by Rihanna from the album Talk That Talk (Deluxe Edition)

Didn't an SNL performance just do wonders for some unknown artist? Goyte or someone?

I think it depends on if the performance is good or not :)
