Sara 1,144
Ruh roh....the American stock market pre-open numbers are looking like a 600 point drop. Gonna be a financial crash (well....sharp drop) around the world because everyone knows this is bad for business. I think the populist hope is that what is bad for business will be good for the workers, because up until now what has been good for business has been bad for workers. But I don't think it works that way either. :P

Scotland will very likely get a referendum or some kind of concessions from the UK. London can't leave, but all high-rise buildings will be useless because the banking sector depended on the EU. Northern Ireland... well there's some doubts on the future of Ireland as a whole because of the past civil war. This vote is more likely to lead to political instability in NI than a remain vote, but I don't really know much about Ireland

I remember these little English shenanigans back in 2011 Honestly, you're going to have to try a little harder. The London riots are in no way indicative of the UK's reaction to a 50/50 "polling" of the general populace. You aren't going to see any major riots, sorry if that makes you sad. Luc 4,776
To be honest the chances of Northern Ireland leaving the Union are quite low. A 55% remain victory isn't very convincing.

No—I said there would be major riots if the government chose to ignore the results of the referendum. LebaneseDude 6,146
Fascinating how the biggest cities such as London, Glasgow, and Edinburgh all voted to Remain. Edited just now by LebaneseDude.

Trying to paint them as all being the same is a gross misrepresentation though. In the case of US politics, Clinton and Trump may both lie, but Clinton does it around 25% of the time while Trump does it 75% of the time. Spot the difference? Two wrongs don't make a right.
