craig 680
your entire argument depends on the notion that there is a proper way to costume oneself for various functions and stages of life. Thats only societal conventions talking, not reality. But don't those conventions matter if you want to communicate with the public via image? Consider many of the hairstyles and fashions of the 60s-80s - once cool, edgy, and rebellious, soon became dated and even a source of laughter.Girls getting lower back tattoos was once a fad, but not so much once a lot of people started calling them "tramp stamps." The generation after the Millennials could turn against tats, in which case pop star tattoos could look like a 60s rocker forced to wear hippy fashion forever. In other words, you can't control or predict what a tattoo will communicate in the future, and relativity is a source of risk. ThisGuyTony 30,217
Kind of. I've liked all her tattoos up to the trumpet one she did. That one just looks... Odd to me.
Guest
No. I want her to get more, all of her tattoos are badass.

It will never lose that communication. They are for her, nobody else. And Gaga has been playing with the notions of fashion stereotypes her entire career. She's recently wearing see through dresses and pasties on the C2C tour. While the style of the dresses conform to "classic jazz" the reality of the implementation of the dresses does not. Gaga has always done that. Even the C2C PBS special those dresses rode a very fine line between classy and what polite society would call "too revealing" or risqué for the occasion. craig 680
Every one of Gaga's Tat's has specific meaning for her. It will never lose that communication. They are for her, nobody else. Aren't they for her fans too? Or to communicate something to fans about her commitment to each era? I recall she got one publicly as a kind of performance art.But you are right about meaningfulness - at least she doesn't get misspelled tattoos that she's soon embarrassed about like Jessie J: http://www.mirror.co.uk/3am/celebrity-news/jessie-j-reveals-misspelled-tattoo-4989831
gagaisitalian 3,573
I don't like all the tattoos. It was nice when it was 3 or 4, now I feel like it looks messy.
Perfect Celebrity 1,556
I don't think so, but I personally love tattoos and I think it'd be awesome if she covered like 60% of her left side in them. Maybe more. I'd like her to have a sleeve. And maybe one on her foot. But it's her body and her choice, it doesn't matter to me.
RainingOnMe 7,280
Yes, the rat tattoo and the monster paw tattoos were really unnecessary... not saying she cannot do what she wants to do, but those were just unnecessary, at least at the sizes they are. Bad Bromance 5,809
It's really not up to us to decide. Gaga is free to do with her body whatever she wants. I personally think she shouldn't get any more tattoos. What she currently has is fine but if she adds more, it could look messy. Either way, I'm a fan because of her music not because of her tattoos so if she looks like Zombie boy one day I really wouldn't care as long as she slays my soul. I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.

And the number goes up as the age goes down: A third of those under age 30 have a tattoo (34 percent). One in five in this age group has three or more (19 percent). And check out this gender gap: Nearly half of women under age 35 have gotten ink, almost double their male counterparts (47 percent vs. 25 percent). If Gaga is going to be "out" with her tattoos...so are 50 per cent of the females in the U.S. that are around her same age. Sister 9,907
No. Her tattoos explain who she is and they are perfect. I like people that express themselves freely. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
