I am not so aware of what each party is standing for but the way it works is that you don't need a majority to win. People vote for a party. A party need at least 2% vote to be in the parliament where there is 139 seats. Seats are split according the votes, so the more votes a party gets the more seats it will gets. But because no party has a majority during election they make coalition with others and pick a prime minister that the Queen then approve. You can watch the amazing tv show that is Borgen to understand how it works and it's more s-xy that real Danish politics :)

Meanwhile we should thank the amazing PR teams that designed the poster all around Copenhagen!

I pass by bike everyday on a bridge and I see my new friend John Erik Wagner that look like someone that escaped from the gay pride :flop:

You have Lady Gaga and they have amazing welfare, bicycle and hot people :). The only thing is the weather!

But talking about politics Danes often say to me they don't mind so much the taxes (ok it depends who you tall to) because they see the results : health care, free education with great student support, free motorway and bicycle lane almost everywhere, good unemployment benefit... They also don't think there is corruption in the government even though they don't believe what politicians promess.

Of course the Danes have important things to decide..

I hope Socialdemocrats or Greens win tbh. That's what I hope for basically every country though :spin: Denmark is a great country. I love love love the rapeseed fields everywhere. And the men are hot imo.

Yes, they do for sure, I started this post on a humorous tone because the posters are seriously...wtf! But I hope that the Danske folkeparti and venstre won't get to much vote. Today again I passed by a poster from venster saying no to criminal immigrants because some members of the party want to select immigrants and are against muslim coming to Denmark... and they are the center right so imagine the right or far right...it's scary and revolting!

The good thing though is that Danes vote a lot the rates is around 85% which is massive! I hope the greens get more votes they are also the alternative and the guy against war with the cheesy poster seems to have good points too.

Populism... :/

Hopefully the central right party in my country doesn't become too sceptical about immigrants. They should emphasize the economic benefits more, and show the humanitarian disasters in Africa and Syria more to get empathy from the emotional far-right voters.

Danish election were held yesterday. The results are showing the Dansk Folkeparti (Danish people's party) has progressed a lot. They are far right (equivalent to FN in France) so like other countries in Europe the extreme parties are attracted people which isn't surprising even if it makes me angry.

Here more detailed article and results:

Danish prime minister concedes defeat and resigns as party leader

Helle Thorning-Schmidt has just resigned, Lars Hinnerskov Eriksen reports. In her resignation speech she said: “Every single day the responsibility has been mine. I stand by the decisions I have made. Also tonight.”

“I was Denmark’s first female prime minister, but I won’t be the last.”

Kinda disappointing result... I think what could happen is a middle coalition with Social Democrats, Venstre and Social Liberal party.

Yes very disappointing! The dansk folkeparti got 20% wtf!!! Danes who votes for them are proving racism is real there!

I think the Social democrats won't be part of this coalition like that. I think the right parties will ally together but HTS is out... :/
