Taylor was used like a prop here.

It's not like she is John Mayer or Keith Urban and is known for her work as an excellent instrumentalist.

I guess it is something Taylor can mark off her bucket list.

+1

I was at least expecting her to give backing vocals or something. Was a bit strange.

I don't like Ghosttown that much tbh...

Why? It's one of the best from Rebel Heart

Why? It's one of the best from Rebel Heart

In first listening I liked it, but now I don't. :( I like Rebel Heart (song) more.

I'm kind of glad Gaga doesn't. She's that one young artist ''the Queen'' cannot get. That makes her more special.:hills:

I agree!

and it's not necessary to put quotes around madonna being the Queen..she IS the queen. Her impact, iconic songs videos, sales, everything about her is only comparable to the king ..

Gaga is on her way!

Am I the only one who thinks her vocals were great?

No, she sounds great in the choruses and in the the bridge... she only seems to have problems singing the verses, maybe the tune in that is not for her!

Performing with LMFAO, with PSY, Miley Cyrus, now Taylor Swift..... It's like she's always trying to get associated with the hot artist of the moment to stay relevant. It's desperate, and it's not working.

I wish her reputation didn't make it so easy for her - at least, she would put some actual effort in what she's doing.

READ BACK Y'ALL

Me and several other users have given plenty of examples of Madonna working with other "current" stars back in the eighties, nineties and 00's. It's just what she likes to do, she has always done it but now, because she's over 50 it's "latching on for fame" and "desperate". It's not. She has ALWAYS done it, or was she also "desperate" back when SHE was the hottest artist on the planet in the eighties? You girls will never learn, will you?

Why was my comment removed?

I'm saying both fanbases need to stop attacking fellow women. We're here to talk about the performance, not charts, sales, looks, aging or relevance. :koons:

I like that one too, but Ghosttown is better imo.

Well I remember you since BTW era, in every Madonna vs. Gaga thread, so I'm not gonna bother much.

I don't think Tony was using Gaga for sales, this is what you implied. None of the older artists you mentioned are known to work with mostly hottest thing of the year. C2C was made after Gaga's peak, after her "flop" album, so it doesn't make sense that sales would be the reason for collaboartion. Gaga's collabs with Legends seem more organic and genuine. That's just my opinion.

I never said "using for sales" or "the reason for the collab"... but it certainly doesn't hurt older artists to feature younger ones to gain exposure to new audiences and put out something interesting together.

I am a huge fan of Madonna and a huge fan of Gaga... not gonna apologize for it either! I am not a blind fan either, if something sucks by either artist, I will say it (and reiterate that I thought this particular 'Ghosttown' performance of Madonna's wasn't that good vocally)

See you around, detective, lol
