Notice that Gaga takes a lot of dates off between tour dates. Often 2 or 3. For example:

November 13, 2014 Birmingham England National Indoor Arena
November 16, 2014 Glasgow Scotland SSE Hydro
November 20, 2014 Sheffield England Motorpoint Arena
November 22, 2014 Newcastle Metro Radio Arena
November 24, 2014 Paris France Bercy Arena

Last week Kylie did Newcastle-Glasgow-Sheffield in 3 straight nights. Gaga takes a week.

Does she need a lot of rest? Does she play tourist? Is she filming or recording C2C promo?

I guess to relax. It can be exhausting touring all over the world and then having to do a 2 hour show every night. She's just like us... we need a few days off from work every now and then.

Interludicrous

I guess she learnt from last time that she shouldn't strain herself, because it has an impact on her health and her performance. Also, since she doesn't have the selling power that she used to, she only plays most venue once and doesn't have second or third nights (at least in most countries). That means she can take more time in between shows between several cities.

Also seems that she doesn't mind long tours and being on the road for months.

Many other artists prefer to compact their dates into a shorter time, and then take longer break between tour legs or just get done sooner. But they aren't writing songs or doing promo for anything else during their tours.

She broke her hip, remember? She's probably just taking caution. Maybe she had doctors orders that said she has to have x amount of days off per y amount of shows. If you look at the schedule of the tour since the very start it's rare that she plays two shows in a row (unless she's doing 2 or 3 dates in one city).

She's not really working to a deadline like before.

The Fame Ball she was planning crazily for The Fame Monster. The Monster Ball 2.0 was crammed in quickly even though Born This Way was going to overlap it and then ARTPOP was supposed to be off the end of The Born This Way Ball but then hipgate happened.

Gaga's not exactly rushing this tour because as far as we're aware and it certainly seems, apart from a little Cheek to Cheek promotion occasionally, she's not got many plans.

Artrave will end around the 5 year anniversary of start of the the Monster Ball.

Over that period, she'd been on tour more than not. Just one year off for BTW (May 2011 - April 2012) and a little over a year between Monster Ball and Artrave (but most of that time she was recovering from hip surgery or battling depression).

Neverending tours.

It's been 5 years already?  :nooo: Oh how time flies.

Since she isn't playing multiple dates in the same city as much, it probably takes at least one or two full days to move all the equipment and sets to the next city and set up. Also I think she is  trying to take it easier to prevent a re-injury.
