ARTSEX 1,150
I was thinking about this one earlier. I mean we were supposed to get Enigma shows during Chromatica (but Covid ruined it), so I think she would have incorporated these new songs: -Enigma (obviously the title) -ROM (popular at the time) -Free woman (fits the concept) - as she was getting liberated... (from something I forgot what, but relevant to the storyline) (-Possibly SL - She loves this song, she even found a way to sing it during the Jazz and piano shows, and I think she would have sang it to promote it at the time) -Replay - Obviously, such high energy song, she is always having a good time when she sings it, the highlight of the CBT Dance. TheARTPOPball 1,053
I thinK if it was truly an enigma 2.0 the tracklist wouldn’t be as heavily mayhem focused but I’d still attend this any day,

The story started with three hits (Just Dance, Poker Face, LoveGame) which represented her surface level stardom. She's the pop star in that moment. She acts the part on stage too with crowd interactions being limited to hype phrases. Then, Enigma appears as an avatar of her inner self projected into its own being. Enigma sets her on this journey of self discovery. Diving in, Dance in the Dark is the most thematically appropriate track to begin a journey of introspection. She rediscovers her past and the path that led her to where she is now (Beautiful, Dirty, Rich, The Fame), what scares her (Telephone), what drives her (Applause), and the enduring struggles she still faces and survives (Paparazzi, Aura). She's told to "prepare for battle" as she rediscovers her own strength (Scheiße, Judas, Government Hooker, I'm Afraid of Americans). After persevering despite having to fight, Enigma is gentle with her and takes her to "the healing place" where she rediscovers her softness, vulnerability, and sentimentality (The Edge of Glory, Alejandro, Million Reasons, Yoü and I). She emerges afterwards with a renewed pride (Bad Romance) and finally, she and her Enigma see eye to eye as equals who are in tune with one another. She has a new appreciation of who she is because she knows she was (Born This Way) People can mock the ugly wig and the lowkey corny video game schtick she had going on but I appreciate the show 'cause it tells me that she does something I always do. "Introspection through dissociation". Removing yourself from yourself to really take a look at yourself. Sometimes it's hard to see how you're living when you're so entrenched in your moment to moment existence so you have to take a step back and think "am I good? How am I feeling? How has my life informed the decisions that I'm making? Am I on the right track? Are my needs being met?" It helps you get back in touch with yourself to become an observer of your own mind and heart. When you care for yourself, you become your Enigma and the space you create between the physical you and the you checking on you is the SiMuLaTiOn One thing about me and Gaga, I'll always defend her weird sh*t like this 'cause it tells me she's just as freaky as I am ¡Seguimos aquí! 3
