FFXSoul91 1,100
So ud save a fish over a human being? I was being dramatic, but it would honestly depend on the circumstances. In most instances, I would save a human in a crisis over anything else. However, if I had to choose between saving my 17 year-old cat and some random asshole, I know for sure I would save my cat. Spyro 8,438
I really don't get why people think that human life is more important than anything else All lives are equal. Even if you don't think it is. Spyro the Dragon
Titzlol 607
Leave and come back when you'll have a brain the problem is, don't u think there are more important things to do with 200$ than saving a fish which is gonna die anyway and which anyways doesn't even know who you are :messga:You could give to charity and help someone that really needs it But thank god George is on the way to recovery, praying for him to feel better tbh yes It's their money who gives a **** no brain required for this topic really

ctherainbow 3,162
I have a fish who's 11 years old, and I'd spend the money on him in a heartbeat. He and I have a great pet/owner relationship, and I'm surprised by the number of people in this thread who have never bonded with a fish before. Fish have been proven to have associative memories that last up to five months, and with repeat exposure can remember their owners. What impresses me is that they could do this surgery successfully! :applause: I'm talkin' 'bout forever, baby.
Kayla 7,595
Just like I would save my bird :) I'm already paying hundreds of dollars on vet bills over some problems my bird had about two weeks ago. I don't regret it at all- had her for 4 years now, expected to have her at least another ten years, and I love her to pieces! Years ago I also had a betta fish that was so lovely. He died when he got stuck under a rock overnight.... I don't know that I would have paid $200 to save him (great as he was, he was already at the top of his life expectancy), but I can say that I cried and years later I still miss that fish. Not everybody has to value every species on the same level, but for many of us our pets are family. In addition to this, to the people saying it's "just a fish" - sure, it is "just a fish." But some of us even keep sentimental items. A childhood stuffed bear is "just a toy," but when you've had it since you were a child it means something to you. A ticket stub from a concert is "just a piece of paper," but when it's from seeing an artist you admire it means something to you. To some people, their pets, even "just fish," mean something to them. And that's okay.

Guille 1,825
The fish' owners obviously cared. It takes a lot of love and compassion to not just throw out their pet. I think it's awesome. Their money, their decision. This. It's so cute. They saved his life, no matter if it's a fish or a koala.
feelitinmybones 0
I thought goldfishes die like every other month Only if they're kept in small bowls, which a lot of them are. They are supposed to grow quite large actually. I think this story is so sweet and I'd do the same tbh, as messy as that sounds
TimisaMonster 31,073
Um....I don't know anyone that loves a goldfish THAT much, but if I say it's stupid I'm gonna get a bunch of stupid posts back so I'll just say....nothing Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! Kayla 7,595
Oh no! Is she gonna be okay? And is that her in your sig? She's doing much better now. :) Going back into the vet's tomorrow for a last little checkup to make sure everything is in order. And yes- that's her! On topic, though- I'm amazed they actually were able to pull this surgery off. I wonder how common operations on fish are?
