Respect my views and I respect yours. However, you clearly know nothing about America so.

Oh, I didn't mean it as if YOu were saying it :lmao: I get what you're saying about fighting for a chance to make a run for it. I meant the people who genuinely think they can take on the Army head-on if that time ever came.

Oh no :laughga:

In Germany we have currently around 82.000.000 inhabitants and in 2012 the police shot only 8 (in words: eight) people dead. Moreover the police did fire only 36 shoots within the entire year from their guns.

I really would like to see in comparsion the numbers from the USA!

Actually, we will never understand here the love and admiration of the US-Americans for their bloody weapons...

Germany has like the strictest gun control so this is not shocking.

Most people don't even own guns. It's just that they respect the right to own a weapon

The 2012 murder rate in the US Ã¢â‚¬â€ 4.7 murders per 100,000 people  was significantly higher than in most other wealthy nations. The comparable rate is 0.4 in Japan, 0.8 in Germany, 1.0 in Australia 1.1 in France and 1.2 in Britain, according to figures compiled by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.

Among nations assessed by the Paris-based club of market economies, only Brazil, Estonia, Mexico and Russia had higher murder rates.

However, when looking only at the rate of people assaulted or mugged, the United States had a lower rate than any country except Canada and Japan, according to the same OECD index.

The United States is one of the world’s most heavily-armed nations, with between one-third and one-half of Americans owning guns and strong political resistance to regulations on ownership.

Anonymous have identified the killer. Please add this to OP and spread around as much as possible.

I'll continuously check it out. I'm not sure it's correct just yet so I can't add it to the OP. When it's "officially officially" confirmed, I'll add it! :)

WHY is this topic being turned into gun control? I don't want to go all the way back on pages to see where it started but all I know is that Im glad Antonio French is free and I will be able to get his tweets again. Im glad Obama spoke on the issue and he did it very appropriately and those who criticize his response must understand that he is a politician and the President of a nation and cannot react to this based on emotions. Don't expect him to post a #IfTheyGunnedMeDown pic. I hope there is more progress made (the police chief OFFICIALLY identifies the killer of Mike Brown).

Dude, I am very sure that I know much more about your country and your society than you know about my country and my society.

So, please do yourself a favour and don't underestimate me.

Why? Because all American are stupid and only care for their own people? I've heard that viewpoint posted a few times here.

I work in an international affairs office. Don't underestimate how much I know of the world.

Ugh, I hate how whenever anything happens in the US it always turns into the US vs. other countries in threads like this.

American cities where gun laws are strictly enforced maintain their high rates of homicide (Chicago is a prime example). Criminals will get guns no matter what. You know why? Because they're criminals. They're not going to follow the law.

Here's a good article by Sen. Rand Paul about the demilitarization of the police, because too much loss of unarmed citizens, with four unarmed black citizens killed within the last month.

http://time.com/3111474/rand-paul-ferguson-police/

This needs to change. I respect cops, with some very good friends who protect and serve. I just think there has to be a better way to instill order without brutal force.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.
