Andrew Watt praises Gaga's dedication to fans when creating music

Just finished watching his interview and I love his insight into working with Gaga. The fact she sometimes just disassociates to envision everything makes sense. 

I feel like maybe that’s how she decides what a good song for an album is? If she can envision what it sounds like, what a video would be, what she would wear and how she’d perform it live. 
 

I know Gaga rarely keeps the same producers in the same capacity (and based off of how her previous work has worked, statistically Gasaffelstein will be the next major producer)—but I really want Andrew and Cirkut on every album, they seem so versatile musically like the fact they made Runway AND Perfect Celebrity.

I think it would be interesting to see the work she produces with creatives who live and breathe that mentality she embodies …

it’s really wonderful to see the reverence these producers and collaborators have when they reflect on how new and unique and refreshing it is that she exists so deeply in that sort of shared consciousness with her fans and artistry …

but/and I am that much more interested in witnessing the work she creates with collaborators who already live in that space with her … that deep interconnected consciousness as the starting point—when she doesn’t have to leave the room to connect with her creative source, because it’s already there creating with her …

But/and, again, as always, just musing into the airwaves on the blink

It intrigued me when he was gushing about how while she’s creating music, she’s already envisioning potential visual components as well. 
 

Makes me wonder about all the music video concepts she’s thought of, that have never come to fruition

It’s pretty well known she wanted BTW to be a visual album but because nobody was doing them at the time the label didn’t invest money, because they had no proof visual albums were massively successful. That’s why the album had 5 (almost 7) singles.

Oh my GOOOOOOOOOOOD  I didnt know that and it pisses me off so much, this would have been such a slay to have a video for each song... The videos ideas she could come up with for those songs back then omg...

Lily Allen is monetarily a far smaller artist with significantly less sway.

Where as Gaga is a much more established large act. And we've seen similar scale artists and legacy artists have control or input over this via their management (look at The Cure who literally refunded an entire US tour leg of tickets and forced ticketmaster into standardized pricing).

Hell Gretavanfleet just put tour tickets on sale with an explicit confirmation from their team that ticket prices would be standardised not dynamic. And Olivia Dean did similar. 

So if acts like GVF and Olivia can do it, its kind of odd to think Gaga lacks the power to do so.
