No Angel 128
From midnight to 5am? Yes. Part of me thinks it's a good idea just so people can get themselves together and reorganize, but another part of me thinks it's not... simply because these people are not (for the most part) under 18 years old, you know? City curfews for minors are very normal, but you just can't tell a 25+ year old to stay inside of their home after midnight. What kind of nonsense? lol Edited August 18, 2014 by No Angel

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. -First Amendment - US Constitution Stand in the light, cast your shadow. No Angel 128
I read the robbery occurred at 11am, but what about the event of his death? Weird, cause the locations of the street where he was killed and the location of the convenience store were quite far form each other; the man allegedly Brown was wearing shorts and flip flops, but Brown was wearing pants and tennis shoes in the street. Officials said there was a five minute break in-between this event and the other. I need official timestamps for both the Convenience store robbery and Death of Michael Brown. Some have officially claimed it to be him, but.. Check out this vine from tonight. Really unsettling. Edited August 18, 2014 by No Angel

Poor Furgeson, i hope the national guard is ready. Sorry, but that's a pretty ignorant standpoint. An officer in Ferguson shot and killed someone with no just cause. As a response, people took to the streets, initially, in peaceful protest. But, of course, as is the situation in America, what with police brutality essentially being the norm, the police promptly chose to selectively forget the Constitutional right to peaceful protest and began brutalizing them. Only then did it the situation become violent. And the situation became violent essentially because the Ferguson police department ineptly tried to cover up their own ineptitude and racism. They are violating an unbelievable number of rights that these people have and it's disgusting. The fact that the National Guard is entering the picture doesn't make me feel safe; it actually makes me phenomenally uncomfortable. This situation doesn't warrant this warzone/martial law treatment. At all. Why do they insist on digging their PR graves even further? See, it's hard for them to dig a PR grave when they're attacking reporters as well We have forgotten our public MANNERS
Ladle Ghoulash 53,458
Actually, Ferguson is a huge distraction from class issues like raising the minimum wage and dealing with student debt. I don't know how an issue that brings to light racial discrimination and class inequality is a distraction, but, okay. No Angel 128
I will never understand people with this mentality. This is not the America I want to be associated with. I don't either. This is what I've gathered from the people who have no issues defending Police's abuse of the constitution: 1.) Don't understand why things have gotten out of hand. 2.) Watch Fox News for your daily dose of information only showing the Police's POV. 3.) Haven't had run-ins with the police, so it doesn't matter to you. 4.) Know a cop/related to one so they personally feel victimized when other's speak out a few one of them. 4.) Or they care about that cop's feelings more than that dead kid laying in the street for hours. 5.) Don't think/or don't want to think that Racism, Classism, etc. is alive and thriving. 6.) Think that 3 Black cops in a predominately Black area is fine. Lol 7. Fail to bring up the 1994/2011 Vancouver Riots, 1992 Lakers Riots as if Sports-Themed Riots are normal and this is the end of the world. It says something when you tense up around police officers even you're innocent. (Me) :toofloppy: Edited August 18, 2014 by No Angel

No Angel 128
Now a witness has come forward to tell us Darren Wilson (Shooter) knew of the robbery even when Chief told us he knew nothing of it. The narratives. The inconsistencies. Edited August 18, 2014 by No Angel

Poor Furgeson, i hope the national guard is ready. Taylor don't even try with these people. They only post things in favor of the "kid" that attacked the officer and shut down any facts in favor of the officer. They'll just keep coming at you. They can state their opinions, but if yours aren't in line with theirs you can't post it without being attacked. We live 20 minutes from here so we get it, but people in this thread are clueless about what is actually happening.

craig 680
I don't know how an issue that brings to light racial discrimination and class inequality is a distraction, but, okay.Because racial issues usually end up setting blacks and PC liberals against the majority of white Middle America. Fear of black crime drives whites to support a law and order agenda - support the police, support gun rights, etc. The same way equating poverty with blacks and portraying all whites as "privileged" leads whites to be stingy with welfare. This is the main reason why America policies in these areas have evolved away from Canada in the last 50 years.
