Pop fans need to expand their taste. Jazz is a great genre and the foundation of a lot of music genres. Open your mind.

This tbh!

How can you guys be Gaga fans and so close-minded in the same time

Cheek 2 Cheek. The JAZZ album from Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett.

Really?

-_-

I'm just not into it as much as everyone else I guess. I really love ARTPOP and was looking forward to act II. Now the Millennial Queen of Pop is performing an entire jazz album?

****. Gaga is being SO mismanaged.

DWUW should have been her first single off ARTPOP with the OG leaked video to go with it. THAT would have brought her back to #1.

Mis-managed? You're really ****ed up if you think an ENTIRE JAZZ ALBUM with a LEGEND is mis-managed. **** off to a Nicki Minaj fan board if you want hits and charts.

Because they aren't really fans of Gaga's music, they're just fans for her hits and "popular music." I enjoy almost all of Gaga's music, even "Sometimes" the over-auto tuned demo slays me lyrically.

I think it's going to flop...

I mean when was the last time you heard a jazz song on the radio?

Well if you are judging its performance the same way you are judging a pop album you will definitely be disappointed :dies:

They don't generally play jazz on pop radio :smh:

Jazz can be big though. Michael Buble and Tony Bennett are doing pretty well tbh.

It's great to know that you love ARTPOP.  :)

I am not a diehard jazz fan but I am very excited about Cheek To Cheek. Mainly because it's still Gaga performing. It's a unique opportunity for her to show off her great voice and attract the attention of people who are normally not interested in pop music. I think that this may only be good for her career. And the pop Gaga isn't going anywhere. We are still going to get pop albums from her in the future. Maybe even Act II. Who knows.  ;)

In the meantime you should really give this new album a chance. Maybe you'll even like some of it.

Oh I'll give it a listen, or many more than likely simply  because it's my queen singing - but I'm impatient waiting for Act II which I still think will be outshadowed by this album which is why its been shelved, along with DWUW and everything else ARTPOP related. It's like her and management are shamed by ARTPOP because it wasn't a "chart-topper". Hopefully C2C does good for her career. I'll be impatiently waiting for her next era of pop tho :)

But it was her idea to make the Jazz album so she's not being mismanaged. She needs an album like this to showcase her vocal ability, not every singer can do jazz but Gaga can. I can't wait for this album

Your poll options are very limited and I disagree with your op. Gaga doing different things and branching out is awesome. Just because you don't like Jazz, it does't mean she's being mismanaged or making the wrong decisions. Just go with it and give the album a try. If you don't like it that's ok, you can still listen to her old music and wait for the next album, no need to get so het up about it. :)

I'm definitely not a diehard jazz fan but I can appreciate a good jazz song like when I heard Gaga sing The Lady Is A Tramp with Tony, I immediately loved it soo...

It also seems to be a very good decision career-wise for her, Grammys are waiting  :gaga:

the f*ck with being number 1.

she's very popular, but right now she's not number one, she's not everywhere, she's not loved by everyone like she was for 5 years, it couldn't last forever. she'll be back on the track one day again, just wait.

and doing a jazz album is a way of reinvention. just look at what Madonna did in 90 - 98, so many different styles from jazz, dance, rnb and ballads, I never expected Gaga to do just pop and electropop.

I wasn't excited at first, but now I'm really curios to hear Gaga's voice on the jazz songs.

I'm also hyped because of the song Paradise, can't wait to hear it
