How is the music video of DWUW "an ad for rape"?!

Based on what we've had so far, the DWUW snippet implied that Gaga gave consent to R.Kelly to d--g her, before "doing what he wants with her body" (I'm a little eww on that, based on R.Kelly's reputation, but that's not the point here). It's not like the Bad Romance video where the two chicks forced-fed Gaga the drink and she spat it out, like she didn't want it... in the DWUW snippet it seemed like Gaga knew full well what she was getting herself into. Let's just say that what she's getting herself into may be unconventional, but I still don't see how it is an ad for rape. She was unconscious by choice

The fact that she chose to work with two well-documented s-xual predators is the problem here, but I'm sure that if we have the full video in our hands we'll understand the context of the whole thing much better.

If anything it seems like Gaga likes to fcuk herself the most *inserts dry-humping newspapers gif here*

It's a video about a s-xual predator singing "do what I want with your body" while taking s-xual advantage of an unconscious woman, directed by a s-xual predator. It definitely gives a rape vibe. I don't think it glamorizes it though.

It isn't an ad for rape. People are being delusional as usual. Nothing new on GGD.  :awkney:

It might not be rape in the non-consensual way but if you disregard the known meaning of the song, the lyrics and video make it seem like she is allowing herself to be used as a s-x object.

I think if she was going to stick with the song's official meaning that she should have abandoned the s-xual theme. It is disturbing and makes people uncomfortable. I believe that Gaga should push boundaries but she should be empowering women, not encouraging them to allow themselves to be objectified.

This is the way I see it anyway.

I can understand that this is a way for them to hit back at the media but Gaga needs to look at herself and wonder why she is allowing 2 perverts to use her as a way to get their message across.

what exactly did r kelly do with children?

He was arrested for having pictures of naked minors in his house, and there is a video of him having s-x with and peeing on a teenage girl. Nobody has seen the video except the trial jury though.

Because rape is more buzzworthy than consenual s-x in a music video. Plus it's more so about Terry being accused of rape and R Kelly accused of - well, everything else.

When a woman is in a vulnerable state (such as being told by a doctor that the only way to walk again is to let him have s-x with her), is a yes really a yes?

But most of her little monsters are.

Being an ad for rape isn't necessarily bad. She could talk about how she's against. If the public knew about the meaning of Swine and saw the SXSW performance, they would probably understand.

Yes but this DWUW video pisses all over that meaning and makes Gaga seem like a hypocrite because she contradicts herself. Says she's against rape but then glamourises it.
