In the long run, A Star Is Born is estimated to gross over $170 million domestically, but is very likely to beat the projections as the response from both critics and fans has been overwhelmingly positive.

A Star Is Born is based on William Wellman's 1937 film of the same name starring Janet Gaynor and Fredric March. In the pic, Cooper plays Jackson Maine, a country music star on the brink of decline when he discovers a talented unknown named Ally, played by Gaga.
