Dangerous Man 9,245
Applause was very big in the US though, and DWUW was also big. I mean, 14 weeks in the Top 10? But they are not album. Applause is not a huge hit tho, it is even considered as an average hit. DWUW is an underperformance. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Dangerous Man 9,245
Do you seriously think she will go country with this album after the success of Red? No way... she is goin pop for sure I agree she won't add anything significant but still, atm it takes 50k for an album to go #1 and Rih will definitely do 200-300k which is great... Red is a mix of pop and country but it's more on country, Taylor is still a country artist even if she'll do a couple of pop songs. Just like how Gaga is still a pop star even if she make a couple of rock/jazz songs. "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Didn't her manager say they didn't care for country radio anymore because they would still come see her live? I love Taylor, but saying she's country at this point sounds a little too late for me. Her only "country" single Begin Again (a biblical song country Taylor is a God) "underperformed" at her standards (and 22 but she was too saturated at that point). Idk. I just wish she'd understand that country is her best. Pop is cute for a while, but it dates so fast. For example; Speak Now/Fearless/some of Red overshadowing her biggest hits WANEGBT & IKYWT in terms of quality I need country TayLORD

Mine was still a hit tho. It must not be full pop though. Don't disappoint me Taylor, don't be a sell out! :crossed: "A little less conversation and a little more touch my body." Solar 604
Maybe TayTay might pull the Lead "pop song" single as a commercially succesful introduction to her record full of country bops

Mills 446
Maybe TayTay might pull the Lead "pop song" single as a commercially succesful introduction to her record full of country bops I believe so too. It's been her winning strategy since Fearless. She's at her best doing country pop, and I can see her doing it as long as she wants, if not throughout her entire career. Here comes yet another 4 million-selling album at least from her, enough to push her WW album sales to 30 million. And she's just 24 years old. Very impressive. Like It Rough 144
I think it's time to start saying: "Katy Perry is over". This will be her 3rd single missing top10 this era. Her new lyric video didn't reach 1.000.000 views and it's out for two days. Bye Katy.

If TIHWD follows the route of BD, which is I'm expecting (if not way worse, sales-wise), it'd be really hard for them to get another #1 hit from the current PRISM. I'd say a re-release is the easiest and fastest way to secure another top 5 entry at the very least. It could also move its album sales to 4 million WW (2 million US), if accompanied by yet another #1 hit.
