People need to understand LATAM doesn’t have the infrastructure nor professionalism to bring these massive artists. And I say that as a Latin American myself who works in the business.
 

A lot of the times countries simply do not have the state of the art equipment that make up these huge stages, and renting them is expensive, or the artist has to bring them (which cuts profit). That’s why we usually get modified and watered down stages, because it’s the only way to put the show without losses.
 

Then you have the fact that LiveNation doesn’t exist here, or representation is much more limited than other countries, so they have to find local production companies to put on the show, and that’s where lack of permits, delays and **** happens, because we just don’t have the qualified personnel to handle it all. There’s little music industry down here that isn’t local acts with small performances, so it really REALLY is hard to bring these A-list stars while keeping the integrity of the show intact.

 

And taxes here are crazy. In my country the artist has to forfeit like 30% of the tickets just to play here. It’s simply not an attractive place to play from the business aspect.
 

Now, would it have been nice for Arianna to foot the bill herself or play at a loss? Yes, but at the end of that day it’s still a business to her and her partners, and it makes no sense to spend 2 Million dollars in shipment and putting on the show if your profit is going to barely let you break even or even lose a few thousand bucks.

What I do think is inexcusable, is that there are some select countries like Mexico and Argentina that are slowly starting to become viable as places for A-listers. She could’ve played a statium here and there. But if people expected a full ass South American leg they just don’t know any better

I understand the frustration, but I hate the entitlement. She doesn’t need a reason as to whether or not she wants to/is able to tour somewhere. The “to you, we don’t even exist” is crazy. It’s entertainment, not a necessity.

Another interesting fact is that Live Nation is usually the one paying to put on the show. So, what happens when there is no Live Nation? Guess who pays: the local production company. I have a friend that works in one of this and she’s mentioned that these company’s will take out LOANS to be able to pay for concerts and some even launder money. Like people can’t expect a tiny ass local Brazilian company to be instantly able to pay a millionary fee to put the show on. And that is always at the risk that ticket sales don’t cover the cost. Remember Western acts aren’t as popular in LATAM

The entitlement is crazy. Disappointment? Sure. But anger and negativity towards an artist for not coming to your doorstep to perform is gross.

I mean, she could have done a Vegas residency and people would have been fine with that, but since she's spreading them out a little bit, people are ticked? Make it make sense. Tours are expensive to move around. Doing multiple shows in fewer locations makes sense monetarily if and artist is trying to have a profitable tour, and if it's not profitable, they aren't going to tour at all, so this makes total sense to me.

I think these 10 dates in London could have been spread out on few bigger European cities, but whatever.

I was in the presale this morning for London shows and it was awful, I have never seen such an awful presale and ofc I didn't get any of them
