izlazaz 0
I think it's because part of Gaga's (deliberately planned) image or branding included selling herself as an artist who is a 'legend in the making'. I think she went a bit too far in this OTT self-praise, so that by the time she was describing ARTPOP as being iconic a lot of people were repelled, especially when the music did not, in fact, live up to her descriptions. The latest example of this is the false advertising of the Roseland shows being sold out. They're not. In fact there are nearly 500 tickets available on the last night. I doubt that Gaga herself organizes all the advertising but pretty sure she has final say. But all I am saying is that even on her home ground Gaga is not being as fully embraced or admired as she used to be. Fame sucks! But it especially sucks when you OTT self-promote, and I think Gaga has done that. So it was Gaga herself, together with her army of little monsters, who set the standard so high. Understandably, there has been a backlash. And inB4 I get reprimanded for being negative. I'm not. I'm talking about general public and why they hold Gaga to impossibly high standards, not about us, her fans. We get her. We know that she is generous and kind beneath all the crazy. We LIKE her difference and her outrageous and think it is liberating. But the rest of the world doesn't, not any more. I think a lot of people view Gaga as a parody of her former self. Essence 232
but honestly I think Gaga is going to end up as Britney and this process has already started that's BS. She's still 10x more passionate in her work than Britney was in her prime. She's an artist, Britney was a brand.
YUNGVERSACE 0
Her outfits lately are terrible; the costumes that she wore at Roseland weren't nice; her dance routines are less complicated and requiring less effort thus less exciting to watch (bye Laurieann) - let's just hope that she gets her **** together for ARTPOP ball. Now regarding commercial performance, let's just agree that ARTPOP was a flop. Yeah, you can say that it's not about the sales, not about the millions of the singles sold, etc. but deep down everyone is a size queen. Now if ARTPOP ACT II sells in such numbers as well, there will be no doubts that it's Britney path. Now let's take a look at Artrave ARTPOP ball, there are less dates than her previous tour - of course, there will be added more dates, but it's not Born This Way Ball you know. She doesn't sell Australia already (maybe that's bound to change when she releases ACT II, we'll see). We will see if a tour is a mess or what. Now we have two music videos, I think we will get one more and that will be Gypsy. So ARTPOP in total - 3 videos. Britney's last album had 2 videos. So you see, when album is a flop there is just a few videos cause there's no point in throwing a bunch of dollars down the drain making the video when u can't sell a damn single (we can apply the same thing to MDNA). This post was way too long and I didn't read the whole thing but if you think Gaga is gonna turn out like Britney then you're delusional :lmao:

She's an artist, Britney was a brand. :applause: Britney was always controlled by tons of different people and everything she did was planned by other people. Britney never made her own decisions or anything. Also Britney was addicted to d--gs, going through a divorce and lost her kids when she had that mental breakdown. Gaga is doing just fine.
