Economy 49,897
how can they know since they haven't heard it? zero promotion from gagas team, and no radio play. stop talking bs when you dont know. if u check the chart thread the reason why the AI is low compared to the spins is because radio stations plays it at night/ dawn at weekends etc when no one listen :) but gagas team doesnt care how GUY charts so neither should we. I cant believe thats actually true. Everyone wants success and her label is a company so they care for sure also as well besides her team It sounds good for Gaga and her team to say they dont care but of course they care In time if an artist makes no hits and album sales are mediocre, expect to see promo greatly reduced and bye bye to nice tv performances or really high budget music videos Also she was only really famous for 4 years. Theres no telling how many of her fans are casual fans and not hardcore loyal fans that will support her indefinitely. If she cant gain more new ones of a massive level it could even affect her tours eventually Im just saying, ppl think t doesnt matter, but really, it does!!! Mills 446
Can Interscope just cancel guy and move on already It won't be needed, given the status of G.U.Y. on both radio and iTunes. Without promo, the single will die on its own. What I'm more interested is on whether they'd release a new single from ARTPOP or do nothing at all like they did after MTN. I'm hoping for the former. Economy 49,897
Once again... G.U.Y. 's AI is lower because smaller stations are playing it mostly in the middle of the night or in the early morning hours. That's where a song's AI comes from. Spins from bigger stations at prime time hours increase a song's AI. Radio stations control the spins and the AI. The listeners do not control what AI a song is getting. What do you not understand about that? The low AI is the fault of the radio stations, not the listeners. Radio stations are choosing to play G.U.Y. in the middle of the night, when the majority of their listeners aren't even awake! You can bold every sentence, but you are still wrong about how songs receive a higher spin to AI ratio. Radio doesn't work the way you are saying it does.calm down... You said "once again" and i never even posted anything after ur first reply Anyway i dont know to what degree thats true. Just cuz some stations are doing that doesnt mean all are. Here in Canada ive tracked a few stations that played it during the day and the AI here is still garbage, even worse than in the States. Some stations like Kiss 92.5 which are big in Toronto played it during the day a few times and they havent played it again in days No, radio gives ppl what they want... Again, if ppl responded to it in anyway radio would play it more... But when there was virtually no reaction on itunes to the single when the video was released, and nobody is talking about it, they know And even if what u said about them only playing it at night etc is true for almost all stations... They have a way of getting an idea how many ppl are tuning in... If ppl liked the song then there would be decent AI for that time of day... If ppl dont like it and flip the station, then its AI would be low even by night time standards... If it was getting good response, radio would play it more, simple as that! Sadly MTN was pushed so much by Gaga and made no impact whatsoever, something that GUY didn't have.

Jjang 2,262
*Starting to think there will be no 4th single. *Such a messy era promotion/singles wise, that's a shame. *I'm REALLY hoping now that she has a supportive team + manager that the act 2 era (if there is one) will be a lot more well handled. Robotboy 1,700
Well if they cared they would not have released a video no one but fans know of before it even got to radio- and they would have booked her for tv performances and used payola like Katy. They did GUY video for the fans and promoting the tour IMO which is all they care about now. If they had tried hard to make GUY a hit I'm sure it would be. I cant believe thats actually true. TheRevenge 0
For some reason people just don't know about it. She should get iTunes to do a three day banner for the single tbh. that would help. but tbh I don't think radio cares about playing Gaga. They kind of have given up on her Well if they cared they would not have released a video no one but fans know of before it even got to radio- and they would have booked her for tv performances and used payola like Katy. They did GUY video for the fans and promoting the tour IMO which is all they care about now. If they had tried hard to make GUY a hit I'm sure it would be. I'm just really confused as to how it is possible ArtRave is selling more than Bangerz Tour and Prismatic Tour, that we have multiple fan sites with regulars and thousands of visitors and Katy and Miley have like twenty people at a time on their sites....I don't get how all that is possible yet the damn radio won't promote Gaga. YeehawKylie 7,817
People keep blaming Interscope, but I feel like it's Gaga who really doesn't care about promoting it. I mean, I assume if Interscope was going to fund such an expensive music video that they'd want to promote it and make the song successful. I personally feel like Gaga wants to truly rid herself of that 'desperate' image people have given her. By not promoting her single she really embodies what she says she believes in and feels in this era: that it's all about the music and her fans, not the success or money. I actually respect her for this move (if it's her who is making it). I think it will really benefit her in the long run.
