Ohh... For some weird reason I keep thinking they named themselves BIG because of their packages.

For the first time in ages, I have no idea what KPOP song to listen to :emma:

that's been happening to me a little lately. Like I'm kind of over all the big things that came out a month or two ago, and no offense but this month's releases have been underwhelming so far. I mean I like some songs off Red Light but they haven't been holding my attention.

Yeah, I'm exactly the same here :emma: Red Light is an ok album, but it can be seen how the songs that have been bought get pretty tired after few listens, Vacance>>>>>>

Now I'm stuck jamming to Die Antwoord :emma:

Can somebody please explain to me why it is seen that original label made songs are seen as superior to songs bought by a record label? Because I just can't get my head around it.

If a label, say SM for example, decided to buy a song. Then they will have to pay the original writers, producers, demo vocalists, etc. And will then use that demo, tweak it, change it's lyrics and then have one of their own artists record the song and have it finalised for release.

If the label decides to write and produce their own material in-house, then they still have to pay the writers, producers, vocalists etc. It's just the exact same thing but being done internally, rather than outsourcing it to other talent.

So how is it seen 'original songs' are better than bought demos?

Fair enough, that if the artists themselves wrote the material it may be like it's coming more directly from them and will be more meaningful... But at the end of the day it's Korean and for all I know they could be singing the lyrics to Friday. :emma:

I'm not saying it happens in every case, 'Red Light' is definitely better with f(x), but the rest of the album seems kinda bland to me, and judging by the live performances, none of the members are really there for it :emma:

And Vacance just happens to be my favorite song, which happens to be the only non-bought song on the album :emma:
