And TEOG was already commercial and the public loved it, so they'll probably love this one even more. It's a love song and it's relatable and songs like that have "smash" written all over them (well, unless they're completely boring like Unconditionally). Gaga's downfall is that her single choices haven't been as relatable as of late and it's partly what's to blame regarding her reduced power in the pop world. Ever since Judas, her single choices have been too personal to her and it's no wonder that they don't always gel with the public. Even though every word of Gypsy can't be related to, lines like "I don't wanna be alone forever but I can be tonight" and "Thought that I would be alone forever, but I won't be tonight" is exactly what the public want to hear. Interscope are mad if they don't release this one. It's clear Gaga loves it, her fans love it and the public who have heard it love it. Apart from this, Sexxx Dreams and MANiCURE are her only lifelines. I still wonder about the commercial appeal of Sexxx Dreams, though, because it is so raunchy and radios might refuse to play it and the video may end up banned from music channels and age restricted on YouTube. I mean, if Rihanna's S&M can be age restricted when there's no depiction of s-x...I would love to see MANiCURE as a single too and I think the rock element is done in a way that the public could get behind. I also thought that DWUW was a guaranteed smash though, so you can never really predict it. The album is FILLED with potential smashes. I just depends on how they're received by the public. Aura, Venus, G.U.Y., Sexxx Dreams, and MANiCURE are all potential smashes imo, but they all also have a chance of flopping. Aura and Venus have the highest chance of flopping imo, but they also have the potential to smash as hard as Bad Romance and Born This Way. smh no. the potential like BR or BTW smash-like is so unbelievably NOT there for any song on ARTPOP.. maybe like a alejandro type smash . It has the potential, it's just not 100% clear how it would be received. I would really love to say Gypsy but I am not sure how the GP will react to the "toniiiiiiiiiight" part even though I love it.
