Will the ArtRave outsell the Prismatic Tour?

Born To Slay

Y'all are so pressed if y'all think artRave will outsell Prismatic.

Like, seriously.

artRave still has SO many tickets left in some cities. Some cities haven't sold more than 1/8 of the balcony seats.

Also, the Prismatic tour offers more seating than artRave.

Also x2, the Prismatic tour already has more than double the amount of dates artRave has...

This is Katy's year, not Gaga's. You have to get over it.

This is Beyoncé's year, by the way. Not Katy's.

Anyways, yes. Some seats haven't sold out. But guess what? Gaga's tickets cost 1,5x more and Gaga has 2x more expensive VIP tickets and 20 1,5k tickets for every tourdate which will sell out for sure. Those balcony seats will sell out after a while, and while Katy will gross ~$0.8M/date, Gaga will do ~$1,2M/date. And while Katy will do 60 shows in the US which will probably all sell out, Gaga will go to the US twice and end up doing the same amount of US dates, but have a bigger tour in Europe, Africa, Latin America, Asia and perhaps even bigger in Australia.

P.S. The hype for PRISM in Australia can possibly slowly die out. The album's still holding well, but it's losing momentum because Dark Horse already was a hit in Australia/NZ while it's only getting started in the rest of the world. This means that Katy will probably be out of the Top 20 singles for 3 months unless the fourth single gets released early in Australia/NZ. This is unlogical. Katy is no Pink in Australia, and if Gaga manages to have a third single to be a Top 10 hit in Australia and promote there some, and do some promotion for the tour, she'll probably outsell Katy in Australia too.

The only thing that Katy has left where she'll do better is more conservative countries where Gaga probably won't go, such as Russia, Ukraine, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, UAE, Israel, Lebanon, Turkey, etc.

i see it going as follows: both will start in the us, gaga will do very very well, katy will do a little better, and people will have meltdowns.

THEN gaga will continue slaying in all the other continents while katy doesnt fair as well, and in the end artrave will end up grossing more.

 okay well when she comes to the us she will do slightly better by default because america falls at her candy coated feet, but she doesnt have the universal impact as gaga, like everyone has stated before,

Yeah, but it's quite obvious tbh. But in the end, Gaga will almost certainly do a second US leg while this will probably be Katy's only US leg. People will meltdown that Katy's outselling Gaga 2x, but in the end, Gaga will compensate it because she'll go to the US twice.

At least, I think she'll go to the US twice. Else she would've added second dates in cities such as Los Angeles where she sold out with ease.

Gross-wise, Gaga's your will make more money simply because her tickets are more expensive. But they will probably both sell out.

That's very rude to the OP. Obviously, we care a lot about Gaga's peers. Seeing how your favourite artist's peers are faring is a good indicator of how good or bad yours are faring. This is pop music. This is what we do.

It's not rude at all, actually. It's rude to scrutinize Gaga and continually compare her to an artist which we all consider below Gaga's bar anyways.

Believe what you want. :)

And who brought Beyonce into this? Like, clearly she sold the most albums. But this is a thread about Katy and Gaga. It's completely irrelevant to throw other pop stars into the mix just so you can try and find an error in my statement.

no. but even if she does, it's the peak of her career, so it would be natural.

Teenage Dream was also her biggest peak... katy never seems to flop

I think Katy is doing so many US dates because her managment also knows that she wont do so good in the rest of the world and still she has "reputation" to preserve.... In my country when i talk with m y friends about going to concerts nobody wants to go to Katys one because of her instrument playback moment and her not being able to sing very well..Gaga is whole different story...she sold out huge arena here already and she will againg for sure.....my point is that Katy has some questionable live moments on stage and many people are not ok with giving money and risk with going to her concerts...they dont know what will they have at the end...with GAGA you know :worship:

unlike gaga, katy can perform in muslim's country like Indonesia or even malaysia, or if she wants to, she can perform in Dubai too. so yeah, it may add her earnings even it is not significant.

That may change after the controversy surrounding her new video with  Islamic religion.
