Dolly Parton's Sister Did Early Voting For Democrats, "Don't Let Them Rig This!"

Dolly Parton’s sister, Stella Parton, claims she had to correct her ballot selection three times while voting early at the Hermitage Library in Nashville.

In a social-media post, Parton said her ballot kept “defaulting” to Republican Marsha Blackburn when she attempted to select another candidate. Parton said she was able to correct the selection before casting her ballot.

“In Tennessee last week at the Hermitage Library where I voted, I had to go back three times and correct my vote because it kept defaulting to Marsha Blackburn. I would never vote for her for anything,” Parton wrote on a Facebook post.

“I’m putting this out here because when we vote, we take it seriously but we try not to hold up the long lines. Do it anyway. Don’t let them rig this election.”

Her post comes after WSMV reported that some Williamson County early voters said voting machines displayed a different candidate than the one they intended to select. Those voters said it took multiple attempts to correct their selections.

The Tennessee Secretary of State’s Office says that, among roughly 400,000 voters who have cast ballots so far in the November election period, it has received one complaint matching that type of issue.
