brizoda 3,908
i hope she leaves the messy interscope, and go to a better label xd Why people always blame Interscope, maybe the real reason is Gaga's fault
Fernando 9
it's a huge airplay flop in my country, her least played single EVEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!!! it's like it's not even a single... It went number one on the singles chart based on fan sales and album hype, but after that nobody bought the song! The ARTPOP era is completely dead here, and it makes me pretty sad :( I don´t want to sound rude but it slays without video in the most important european markets: 2 Norway #4 Denmark #4 Latvia #5 Dominican Republic #6 Canada #6 Sweden #10 Poland #11 Lithuania #12 Cambodia#12 France #13 Austria #14 United States #15 Honduras #15 Peru #15 United Arab Emirates #16 Slovakia#18 United Kingdom #18 El Salvador #18 Malta #18 Oman #18 Trinidad and Tobago #19 Luxembourg #19 Switzerland #20 Italy #21 Finland#21 Germany #23 Namibia#24 Ireland
Desperado 2,439
I know, my point is that they let her choose her producers, they let her write her own songs, and then they choose the best songs ... While other labels can force u work with other producers and even songwriters. . . i dont think that gaga would let them force her to work with someone tbh, she's not katy perry. Why people always blame Interscope, maybe the real reason is Gaga's fault because she always has plans and ideas, and ****, but suddenly everything change and get other treatments. CharlesReyna 0
All the major labels want safe radio friendly, Katy Perry(esqu) music. Gaga is seen as a risk because she's very unpredictable and out there. It's the classic tug of war between artist and label when they get tired of being told what to put out. There are plenty of Indie artists doing great right now.

GypsyGaga 0
DWUW just got its eighth play of the day on KIIS, so 16 spins today again is likely. The wait for this video is really getting excruciating tho. I really can't comprehend why they would wait so long to release it. I guess the editing process is still taking place, but that just makes me scratch my head even more. Are they editing for so long because the material itself is really mediocre or is editing taking so long because there's just so much damn footage that they had to shoot for this lengthy video? I hate the Wrecking Ball video, but it's so damn simple and effective (for the GP anyway). I'm not saying Gaga needs to sacrifice her messages or artistic vision. But you can make a point and do it simply and succinctly.

CharlesReyna 0
But record labels know what's good for to sell music, artists don't know You are right about that. They do know what sells and what doesn't. But, an artist is always going to want more creative control. Mackelmore and Mumford and Sons are two indie artists that have not had to comprimise because they are with independent labels and it has really played to their advantage. They are doing as good or better than Gaga right now so having a major label is not necessary to be successful.
