Luc 4,775
This thread seems dominated sometimes by people who prefer R&B and ballads to dance. Consumed by Beyonce envy and Katy loathing. They even prefer Uncle to Roar and Dark Horse. But Applause kicked DWUW's ass on US itunes and radio. :haha: I loathe R&B/Rap/Urban tbh. Only reason I like DWUW is because Gaga sung it. Freddy 4,421
U&I peaked at #98 in France France are NOT into those type of songs at all, so it's already amazing that it actually charted ***and You and I actually reached #44 on airplay there, not that bad. It was also the fourth single from the album, something we might not have with ARTPOP (and at this stage it's till unsure if we'll get a third single )

VforVendetta 2,024
You and I and MTN don't even exist in Greece. BTW was a smash, Judas a sizable hit and TEOG a small hit. Applause is a sizable hit also. DWUW could become a huge hit here, the public reception was very big especially after the Xtina Duet but it will never become one without a video, which is a shame. Freddy 4,421
I see Pitbull has a #1 single while his album is #115. (selling 220 000 in 42 weeks ) Funny how no media at all is reporting this, while Gaga had a #1 album at 638k yet we see loads of 'Gaga knows she did bad with ARTPOP' type of articles. Kinda the same here. BTW -> smash Judas -> flop that everybody knows TeoG -> flop that everybody knows Yoü and I -> flop that lots of people know Marry the Night -> flop that most people know Applause -> flop that not a lot of people know DWUW -> flop that nobody knows So excited for the jazz album. It could really do wonders for Gaga
Valextra 58
Y&I here was very popular on MTV because they transmited the video a lot.

VforVendetta 2,024
TEOG was not a flop...It definitely wasn't a flop. In my country it was a small hit though while Judas and Applause are big hits. TEOG was a much bigger hit than Judas overall but in many places of Europe + Japan and Brazil Judas is a bigger hit. I consider Applause and TEOG to be equal size hits.
Arturo 40,746
I can't at people even knowing MTN more than Applause + DWUW in some places I'd go as far as to say the US knows about App + DWUW more than MTN, Judas, You & I, and Alejandro here. Luc 4,775
TEOG was not a flop...Applause is known 100x more than MTN Talking about my own floppy country. Here, TeoG peaked at #36. MTN is better-known than Applause because it was performed at the EMAs, nominated for video of the year EMA, was used for a bit in the HBO special and because Gaga was a big star back then.
