Let's say she releases a new single and video That means by the summer she would need 18.15k sales/week for the next 20 weeks in the USA to reach platinum by the end of May Possible with the right exposure Also why the **** isn't MANiCURE in a commercial?? Because they might want to save it as a possible single for later? I really think that MANiCURE is one of the biggest contenders. It's catchy, fun, safe enough for radio while being a little bit Gaga. I'd be here for MANiCURE as third single tbh. But ARTPOP is still the best third single choice in my opinion. Katy's team are literally controlling everything, In Fact they plan most of the things without Katy and then just tell her what to do, where she'll go etc.. The same happens with Britney and u can see that in her documentary. Gaga on the other hand is in control with most of the things. She even fights with her label over single decisions (and It's not like she does that 1 or 2 times, she does that for every single ) and she is planning most of her concerts, schedules etc.. There are really a lot of yes men around Gaga but for Gaga this is not a bad thing. You can't just be a celebrety and everyone thinking they are powerful, while you are being "controlled" by your manager etc.. Both Gaga and Katy have power, but Gaga uses her power that makes her even more powerful than she would be if she just listens to her team/manager etc.. ARTPOP for me is an OK single during this time, since it's almost spring, people want something that gets them in the renewal and vibe of upbeat things Slower songs like ARTPOP fare better during early Winter time/late fall, but I guess in terms of creating buzz around the album, the song of the same name can do it best But I am def there for G.U.Y. with you, though Venus is my next choice because someone has to snatch Katherine's cotton candy wigs Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

She isn't nominated and she isn't a legend yet or someone like JT, with a seven year absence coming back to music. Having JT perform was rare enough, but given his history in Pop music, it made sense. If Gaga were to disappear from music for seven years, and her new release timing coincided with the Grammy ceremony, she would get the same opportunity.
