Just because someone has the power that 90% of the other artists don't, doesn't mean they are surrounded with yes men. And calling Gaga pretentious when 90% of the pop girls are just employees that I won't be surprised if some of them even have Job Descriptions and Policies Just because Gaga has ideas etc... doesn't mean she is pretentious and let's not even talk about Immature, this is the dumbest thing u can say about Gaga ! Asian Leg was 65M right ? 115M without ASIA and with a cancelled tour due to injury is PRETTY EPIC if u ask me... That would be around 55-60 shows right ? 115M with 60 shows, YES THIS IS DEFINITELY BAD, ASIA SAVED BTW TOUR ! Exactly 1. Forbes stans for GaGa blindly. 2. Gaga did extraordinary with The Monster Ball everywhere. 3. The Born This Way Ball did a lot worse in the places where she had gone in the past, cause the album that promoted the tour had no impact after the first single while her image started the decline in the eyes of the media. It was only saved thanks to the asian leg. Let's not forget how the ones who followed this tour would struggle seeing how she barely sold in some places in Europe and let's not start with Latin America. And don't come here saying that she sold out almost all her dates, 'cause we know that we expected more dates to be added in every country but it never happened cause the demand was underwhelming. 4. Let's wait to see the demand between PRISM tour vs ARTrave tour worldwide to prove if Luc is right or not (I support his point of view). I disagree with 3 and 4 though ArtRave tour will most likely do better WW, don't even know whether Katy's doing a Latin American leg because she's probably not big enough there for profit. And yeah, the asian leg was very successul. I also disagree that the European leg was unsuccessful, because it was very successful. Most artists don't even go to the places where the tour didn't do as well (Bulgaria, Nice, St. Petersburg). About 4, I expect them to gross about as much. I have to say, this thread is basically the personification of everything wrong with "The Monster" fanbase. It's really not a surprise that it's the most hated of the pop girls I love Lady Gaga and I love her music. Yes, I wish she was having a more successful era in terms of both her music and her personal relationships, but all I can do is buy her music and support her` and hope that she'll bounce back But, I CERTAINLY do not feel the need to constantly and consistently bring Katy Perry or other artists into the discussion for no reason other than to bash them. You know who you are. All stanbases do this, of course, but I have never seen as bad as I have on this forum and especially this thread. Katy Perry is having a great era! Two great ones back to back actually, great for her! Even if you don't like her the need to downplay her successes and try to make it seem as if Gaga is still the bigger star at the moment (or that "nobody cares about Katy", that's a popular one) is delusional and quite frankly pathetic. Hell, some of you are so negative now that you just drag Gaga now. Apparently the other pop girls just aren't enough. We saw what happened with Roar vs Applause, we saw what happened with Prism vs ARTPOP (The Monsters were hideously obnoxious about both as we all know). When will we learn to keep it cute? Support Gaga and her music, don't bash other artists because you are jealous of their successes. It only creates more hate for the fanbase. In fact and just like a curious story, I didn't know about a "secret policy" that some gay clubs in Mexico have: they don't play GaGa's songs for fear that their costumers run away.
