Why would you want a single just for pure enjoyment? Can't you listen to Venus 24/7 now? Official Singles are for the radio and to keep the album selling. Singles sent to radio should keep the era going. At this point in the current album cycle, Gaga can't afford a released single that doesn't hit the top 10 on Pop. It's where she has been consistent this era. Really?? I love Venus but I KNOW it's a 50/50 toss up of whether or not the public will like it. Thank you for a better response to this comment than mine. At this point, I just want to see Gaga chart well so Interscope doesn't lose any faith in her ability to sell singles. I'm not certain that any one song off of ARTPOP will do well next. But I will be SO incredibly nervous for its success if she releases Venus next. I honestly thought it'd stuck at #2 for a while, but the gap of its digital sales with TM has finally paid off. Now that Ke$ha has tied Gaga's HOT 100 #1s, the more I'm anxious for that 4th #1. I've seen the comparisons to Bad Romance for weeks and seen lots of fans who think it is a smash waiting to happen- "another #1 for Gaga"!!! It could kill the era...or not. At this point, I wouldn't risk it. IDK if the label will go for it or not? We will see. :) IMO, Act II isn't happening and if it does, there won't be heavily promoted singles from it. What i meant is that many Venus fans understand how big of a risk it is. Venus will either perform like MTN or perform like Bad Romance. Its a 50/50 chance. I really dont think Venus will perform mediocre like Applause or DWUW. So the Venus fans are just curious to see how things turn out. This era has been full of "safe choices" so far, so i think she should make atleast one risky choice, afterall the album is called ARTPOP, not just POP. And what i also meant by wanting it to be a single for pure enjoyment is the music video, fashion and stuff than comes along with a song becoming a single. And also i want the whole world to be able to hear this masterpiece that gaga wrote and produced on her own. I really just want gaga to do what she wants to do. If she doesnt want venus to be a single then im completely support her. But the way gaga looks genuinely happy when she's performing Venus just warms my heart and i wanna see her be that happy again. To me, i doesnt matter if gaga's gonna hit the top 10 every time, cuz she'll always be #1 to me and i can care less about what some numbers say.
