It's not on power rotation on Z100 though but they're starting to pick it up. 6 plays in 15 hours so far, compared to 5 yesterday's total, and 4-6 plays last week's average. However we want it to be the next single just for the pure enjoyment. Making single choices based on what we think is gonna chart higher never works out cuz we never know what will smash and what wont. So dont call the Venus stans deluded cuz i've seen them many times post that they are aware of how big of a risk it is and how they want it as the next single because of the music, art and fashion that will come along with it and not based on how high its gonna chart. I could probably find, literally, 1000 posts of monsters proclaiming that Venus will slay with no acknowledgment of how risky of a single choice it is. You guys are acting like Venus is this eccentric, genius, ahead of its time, crazy experimental song that will either hit huge or fail miserably. And it's not. Venus is just an unusual pop song. It doesn't make great strides artistically and it's not pushing any boundaries. If you like the song, that's fine. But I truly don't understand fans wanting Gaga to release a song just for "pure enjoyment." I mean, I'm sure the video will be awesome, but what's so fun about watching a song underperform? I know the public is unpredictable, but I have been watching the charts and predicting hits for over a decade now and I feel so completely confident that Venus will be a massive flop. And seeing as how this is a charts thread and I enjoy following artists I like on the charts, I see releasing Venus as a single next to be an unbelievably huge mistake. I would be here for it if they put sweet, hot, wet or sth like that insteadI prefer X than changing the whole word tbh. It's like changing the song by changing the word of the chorus while you can understand that X is a cencoring for Sex.
