O_O in my opinion, she took cosmic love and built the entire CD's new sounds off of that song. i'm not saying you're wrong, but it's funny how differently we disagree. haha really? i think it sounds different, more lulling you in and all. but what i really ment with it was that all these songs don't give the feeling cosmic love, blinding, etc gave me. when i first heard them i thought i died because the songs were so good. i never got that feeling with ceremonials, i really think it's still super good and better than a lot of stuff released this year, but it isn't as good as lungs. While building on what came before, I think Ceremonials is a tremendous improvement, it's a far more cohesive album, and I feel her vocals in particular, are much stronger this time. I love it. I love how long Ceremonials is so that it will keep me entertained for a while (just like born this way) I hope more artists start doing that and putting out longer albums, I hate the 10 track albums that have become so popular lately I feel the opposite, I can't see a trend towards bloated albums as a good thing. Now, while BTW and Ceremonials are both great albums, and I wouldn't call any of the tracks on either 'filler'-- I still feel they drag on too long for their own good, and BTW in particular would be a much stronger album if some of the weaker tracks had been left on the cutting room floor. I just enjoying having as much music from an artist as possible, maybe what a much better solution would be to release like the strongest 10-12 songs on the regular version of an album then all those "weaker but still good" songs could be on the deluxe or released at a later date as Bsides for the super fans. I understand how upon the first couple listens to both ceremonials and BTW it does seem to go on for a while and drag a little however once I get used to the songs I appreciate how long it will keep me entertained lol I just hate to think that there are songs written by an artist I love that I will never get to hear because they didn't "make the cut" Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
