She reminds me of Mew, she can change to a different form and project what Bowie, Donatella, Marina, & others she's studied from. Madonna has done pretty much everything there is in pop, so ofcourse there will be connections if you really look for them. This whole Madonna thing reminds me of the South Park episode called "The Simpsons Already Did It" where they parody people saying that South Park ripped off Simpsons, because Simpsons literally went through every theme on their show considering they've been on air for like 30 years.
