The music producers bringing a copyright infringement case over Cardi B’s hit single “Enough (Miami)” are seeking a court order that would bar the rap superstar from including the track on her much-awaited album, Am I the Drama?.

Fraustro and Aguilar want the court to block any further performances or distribution of "Enough (Miami)" and remove it from any online forum until their lawsuit is resolved.

The lawsuit was filed last summer by Joshua Fraustro and Miguel Aguilar, who produced rapper Sten Joddi’s track “Greasy FryBread” in 2021. Fraustro and Aguilar allege Cardi (Belcalis Almánzar) lifted that song’s melody and bassline for her March 2024 single “Enough (Miami),” which spent 14 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 and peaked at No. 9 on the chart.

Fraustro and Aguilar are asking for a court injunction that would prohibit Cardi from including “Enough (Miami)” on Am I the Drama?, her long-awaited sophomore album due Sept. 19 via Atlantic Records. There seems to be some confusion since Cardi B apparently isn't planning to put “Enough (Miami)” on Am I the Drama?.

I’m curious their thought process on this. I would think you'd want Cardi to use the piece of work as much as possible if you're certain in your copyright case to get the biggest profit

cool

they think it's on her album. The album is out next month so they probably want to force her to settle before the album is released, because otherwise she could not be able to release physical copies if the song is pressed on vinyl and cd variants. however, the tracklist on Apple Music indicates that only WAP and Up have been added to the album.
