Here's how I look at it: The people who give a **** about charting know about the preorder situation so they can't bash it unless they want to look extremely stupid saying "HAHA KATY IS #1..even though she's selling less than Gaga" AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNNNND: The people who don't give a **** about the charts like the GP just don't give a **** and won't hold it against her. The type of exposure a song gets just from being perched at #1 is insane. No one checks for Billboard or the amount of pre-orders, but people do check iTunes.
